Some of those are seeded, so they aren't floaters.

I vote Szavay and Razzano.

 Szavay!

She's the best player off that list and has the best draw...

So you think a player like Mirza, though seeded, wouldn't surprise anyone if she reached the quarters or the semis?

Would Zi really play Justine if she qualified? They do place the qualifiers in random fashion, don't they?

I agree-- players who have never gone, let's say, beyond the 3rd round of a major but have talent beyond their ranking are still "floaters" to me.

Agnes, Tamira, Viki and Makiri are my picks but...

left ankle injury is so bad for Francesca Schiavone
Healthy, she could have made some noise in Pova's quarter of the draw!!!
Does anyone know how serious is that injury?

Too bad about Fran's ankle, she's been playing well this summer. Hopefully it's not too bad.

If Kirlilenko plays the way she was doing prior to her injury last week in Toronto she could very easily take out Hantuchova, Petrova and Kuznetsova and make the semifinals. She was striking the ball ridiculously well. Szavay is in the same part but I think Krajicek will be a sterner test than Srebotnik in 2R and getting Petrova earlier is more difficult.

Makiri :rocker2: :D

From these here I think that most damage will achieve Azarenka and Radwanska.

Hi guys and gals!

This is my first post here. But not the last for sure!

I think-and hope-,Agi will cause the biggest damage. And she's just getting warmed up!

Schiavone, Mirza and Radwanska are not floaters, these are seeded players. I think Kirilenko will do some serious damage.

I was tempted by odds of 150/1 on Kirilenko. Had I been able to stake an each way bet on a semi-final place i would have done so. Only worry is the injury she had against Bartoli.

There not floaties I guess, but i think 66/1 on Dementieva and Schnyder are good odds. Lena has a tough draw but her form is really picking up.

Szavay will be the most trouble.

Azarenka hopefully. I sense a big breakthrough event for her.

I'd say Szavay, with her form of late :) followed by Azarenka.

 Aga, Fran and Sania are seeded, so does it really make them "floaters"? I sort of think of floaters as being unseeded. And from those probably Szavay or Razzano.

Either Agnes or Tamira because I think they both have very good draws. I think Agnes has a slightly better draw so I will take her.

Eleni Danillidou should be on that list. She's been the dark horse of New Haven.

As long as her injury isn't too serious, Agnes.

Vika is so overdue for a big result. I think she's got the draw to make it happen here. I'd look for her to go the furthest.
