She did it again. I can't believe it... Zi was down 1-4 in the third set. Then, she saved a MP at 4-5

OMG you are a fighter Zi... so proud of you... but you was near to killing me :sobbing:

You rocks... :worship:

Plz play better in R2 :help:

She will play Laine

Sorry Angelika.

So surprised with Yan's mind. She seems to find a way to win those tough matches although things are not going well. And she converted every chance with the top players last week.

Unbelievable...

Verdammt, Angelika :( :(
warum kannste in den entscheidenden Momenten nicht mal nicht dran denken, dass du Deutsche bist. :o

Angelika is a decent player, nice groundies. She has huge mental problems though (like every German)

:haha:

3rd set tiebreak queen is right. For her entire professional career Zi Yan is 11-2 in 3rd set tiebreakers. The 1st loss was also when she was just starting in 2000. She has won 11 of her last 12 final set tiebreakers. Very impressive. :worship:

Now that my favorite Niculescu is gone from that part of the draw I really hope Zi qualifies but she looks pretty darn hard to beat in qualies right now so I'd say if she's not too tired (the one concern) she should have an excellent chance.

Come on Zi Yan.

She can still do it, and its a good thing she comes through tough matches, both mentally and physically.

Go Zi! I wouldnt have minded if she played big bad brenda... Yan's super return of serv, and apart from her serve i don't think Brenda is as comfortable off the ground! oh well, you play with the cards you're dealt, so go Zi against Emma!
