Early or late withdrawals from the rest? And how many WCs will she request before withdrawing?

Anything can happen, but the odds are that her next tournament after the US Open will be the Australian Open.

SF

Edit: I hope she plays, but I don't think she will.

she flew to munich in 2001 and won it. Think she might play Madrid if she will qualify

Would be nice to see her with some more points back in the top4 and avoid justine in slam qf

For a couple weeks of work its not a bad pay day. If you win both you could wind up with close to $300,000 or $200,000 and a car. If you don't go far enough in the USOpen it'd be a nice place to harvest a few extra points to make your Australian Open defense a little easier. The YEC pretty much performs the same function.

yeah but she'd have to work for it she cant just play 1 match and walk away with a six figure sum of money (well maybe she might play stutgart if they through her a shit load of money as an appereance fee!)!

Well the fall isn't the best time of year for Serena. I still remember that loss to Tiantian Sun. :spit:

its not for fooling the fans. its because the WTA requires players to enter a certain number of tournaments. if the wTa did away with this rule then Serena could be more realistic in terms of the tourneys she says she is going to enter.

I agree, she isn't going to play that schedule.. but the withdrawals etc are partially because of the wta's system..
