I swear I read somewhere that Monica made 35 unforced errors the entire tournament! So divide that by 7 matches=5 UEs per match. Is that a record? Was the 35 UEs true?

No way! Is this really true??? That would be awesome if it was.

With her easy wins, I wouldn't be surprised...:

QF Patricia Hy-Boulais (CAN) W 6-1 6-2

lost 27 games total in winning a slam....pretty impressive I say no matter who she played.

Monica was awesome that year. Just too good for everyone.

Though Patricia Hy-Boulais' run to the quarterfinals was nice to see :)

35 in one tournament, not bad at all
to think that a certain person hit 14 more in one match

Jul 12th, 2002, 06:52 PM
WOW Monica was that kind of player back then though!:)

Jul 12th, 2002, 06:54 PM
yuck she dominated....

i hate it when someone dominates almost without competition... tennis sucks! :p

I doubt it was only 35 UE's. Monica always went for it back then and rarely missed but she was NOT perfect.
