View Full Version : If you could win a WTA title (not GS or Tier Is) which title would it be?

Imagine yourself on the WTA tour and you are a Top20 player.

Which WTA title (not a grand-slam or a Tier I) would you want to win the most?

I would want to win is Stuttgart - the reason is its because not only do you win a Porsche as well, you are also playing a top top field of tennis players too. Even the qualifying for this Tier 2 has the top seed ranked in the 20s.

Stuttgart's top seed in qualifying was ranked 55.

Amelia Island. I love the green clay events on the tour and if I can't have Hilton Head, I'll take Amelia.

Does this exclude YEC as well? I think Olympics is also considered a super Tier I so I'll assume that's out too.

Dubai has a huge purse for a Tier II, so I guess that's as good a choice as any.

Strasbourg, Seoul, Vancouver, or Bangkok because I want to win whatever crappy titles the Nicole XD4200 Vaidisova has won so that Derek will think I'm awesome!

:haha:

Nice thread, I would choose Dubai or Doha, as I would receive an obscene amount of money and I would also emulate Justine's performances. But first I would need to undergo a sex change operation, and I'm not so comfortable with that  :scared:

I wonder too  It's a shame! Because grass is THE tennis surface!

But I have seen the new calendar for 2009 and maybe there will be one :D

I would love to win the Proximus Diamond Games! :hearts:

Open Gaz de France in Paris, Proximus Diamond Games in Antwerp, J&S Cup in Warsaw...that was my favorite little stretch of tournaments for awhile the past few years, but if I had to pick just one of those, it'd be the one in Paris. Indoor carpet is the best.

EASTBOURNE, UNITED KINGOM PREMIUM EVENT
Eastbourne (no restrictions on the number of Top-10 players)

I believe this means it's being promoted to the equivalent of Tier I. As opposed to Stanford which remains equivalent to a Tier II:

STANFORD, CALIFORNIA, USA PREMIUM EVENT
Stanford (one Top-6 and two Top-13 players OR two Top-6 players)

1) If Zuluaga can win it three times in a row surely I can win it at least once.
2) The crime level is high so I'll feel right at home and if ever I have to get rid of a player I can just pay someone to do it.
3) The cocaine I hid in my trophy would be a nice winner's paycheck.
