Vaidisova should return at US OPEN!

Kodat(NICOLE'S coach) said 2-3 weeks ago that it's sure that Nicole'll participate at US OPEN... she will play after quick recovery from mild form of glandular fever.. it will be her first tournament since Wimbledon where she reached quarterfinal. so she will play without any preparation for USO, without any tournament on US Hardcourts before USO. She should be #13 seeded.

Nicole was also in this situation before Roland Garros.. she hasn't played for 5 weeks before RG because of right wrist injury and she reached quarterfinal but now she recovered from glandular fever... any ideas how she'll play at US Open? what do u think?

I really don't know what to expect I just know that I can't expect too much... 4th round will be great result for me..

Shame she has had no preparation for the US Open. Could be dangerous if she faces a dangerous unseeded player (Kirilenko, Razzano, Paszek)

Round of 16 if her draw is pretty decent. I had no expectations going into Roland Garros and she played very well there. I just hope that she's 100% ready to go come the Open. And I'm very happy to be able to see her play again.

I will say QF's again, like at RG and Wimb. She's a very good player, and if she can round into form during the tournament, then she could do great things on this fast hard court of the U.S. Open

If she gets past 1st round in straight sets she should get confidence and maybe QF if not :o...

QF would be a great result. With her lack of match play and uncertain mental state, I honestly feel like Vaidisova may find herself out in the early rounds. I'm pegging her to be eliminated in the 3rd/4th round by someone like Kirilenko or Paszek.
