i'm sure she'll play stuttgart and moskow... and i hope she'll play doubles in 2008. she's the best russian lady in doubles so it would be fabulous if she win an medal.

i met her the last years in berlin and she is one of the nicest girls on the tour. she is always writing autographs or taking fotos with the fans.

thank you elena...! :wavey:

Lena played well at Wimbledon, then spent a few weeks playing WTT. She spends every summer in Sacramento.
But she's still training hard.

A win over Camerin in 3 sets and then losing in straight sets to Dani Hantuchova

Hardly a good Wimby ;)

She played Hantuchova very close, then was close to winning mixed. Lost a very close SF vs Jankovic. Lena won the AO mixed title.

cool-nice to hear. Good to see she hasn't retired yet. she's had some decent results at the USO. She would have so much more success in single if she had a "put away shot." I saw her play Sharapova (last year i think) at the USO and she was in a winning position so many times, but let Maria back b/c she couldn't hit hard enough/put the ball away. anywya, maybe i will catch her this year. Going the first day!:D

Yeah, SF in mixed and QF in women's doubles isn't a bad wimbledon at all :)
