What do you mean? She's done that for the last 6 slams she's entered and last year made the final of every single one...

She actually lost only one GS Quarterfinal in her career (of the 17 played). It was against Kim in AO 2002.

No one since Henin's ascent in 2003 comes close except for Clijsters and Davenport. I looked at Clijsters, Davenport and both Williams Sisters.

For example, Clijsters "only" made it to the semifinals of 48 of the 64 tournaments she played and won three less tournaments than Henin since 2003. Kim's win/loss ratio in finals was actually worse than Henin's and Henin made it to more finals, while playing less tournaments.

However, Clijsters did make it to 20 semifinals out of 21 tournaments played in 2003, while playing in 15 finals, winning nine tournaments. However, Henin's two wins at the French and US Open sealed her #1 ranking. It was by far Kim's best year on tour, in spite of not being able to win a grand slam title.

Clijsters

Since Justine's surgance in 2003, 35-13 in semifinal matches and 25-10 in finals she's played in the past five years.

She's reached the semifinals 48 times of the 64 tournaments she's played since 2003.

She's reached the finals 35 times of the 64 tournaments she's played since 2003.

She won 25 of the 35 times she reached the finals in tournaments she's played since 2003.

Let's look at the numbers year-by-year:

2003 (YEC Champion)

Lindsay

She's reached the semifinals 37 times of the 58 tournaments she's played since 2003.

She's reached the finals 27 times of the 58 tournaments she's played since 2003.

She won 15 of the 27 times she reached the finals in tournaments she's played since 2003.

To put Henin's stellar play since 2003 into better perspective, let's look at her record against the top 20 since she began her ascent in 2003.

Henin has a winning record against every player in today's top twenty since her ascent in 2003, with only one exception, Venus Williams (0-1) Jan 2003.

Collectively, Henin is (77-18) against today's top 20 since her ascent in the WTA in 2003. That's an 81% winning percentage. She has won more tournaments, more single majors and made it to more finals than anyone in the top 20 since her ascent in 2003. Its largely the reason why Henin is likely to end this year #1, and for the third time in five years.

Henin vs Today's Top 20 Since 2003 (77-18):

Henin v 2 Maria Sharapova (5-2)
Henin v 3 Jelena Jankovic (6-0)
Henin v 4 Ana Ivanovic (2-0)
Henin v 5 Svetlana Kuznetsova (14-2)
Henin v 6 Anna Chakvetadze (2-0)
Henin v 7 Amelie Mauresmo (8-5)
Henin v 8 Serena Williams (4-2)
Henin v 9 Nadia Petrova (10-2)
Henin v 10 Daniela Hantuchova (1-0)
Henin v 11 Marion Bartoli (2-1)
Henin v 12 Martina Hingis (2-0)
Henin v 13 Venus Williams (0-1)
Henin v 14 Dinara Safina (3-0)
Henin v 15 Nicole Vaidisova (3-0)
Henin v 16 Patty Schnyder (6-1)
Henin v 17 Elena Dementieva (4-2)
Henin v 18 Shahar Peer (1-0)
Henin v 19 Tatiana Golovin (2-0)
Henin v 20 Sybille Bammer (2-0)

Not Included (since Henin's ascent in 2003):

Henin v K. Clijsters (8-5)
Henin v L. Davenport (8-0)
Henin v J. Capriati (3-0)
Henin v M. Seles (2-0)
Henin v M. Pierce (4-1)

Grand Slam Singles Victories since Henin's Ascent in 2003:

J. Henin (6) Olympic Gold (1)
S. Williams (4)
V. Williams (2)
M. Sharapova (2)
A. Mauresmo (2)
A. Myskina (1)
S. Kuznetsova (1)
K. Clijsters (1)

Weeks at Number One since Henin's Ascent in 2003:

J. Henin (78)
L. Davenport (60)
A. Mauresmo (39)
S. Williams (35)
K. Clijsters (19)
M. Sharapova (14)

There seems to be an overwhelming perception that Justine is only a clay court player. However, her hardcourt results would surprise many since her ascent in 2003. Henin has won more tournaments on hardcourt than she has clay  :

Henin Hardcourt Record and tournament wins since 2003:

130-19 (87%)

16 out of Henin's 28 tournament wins since her ascent in 2003 have been on hardcourt.

Henin Claycourt Record since 2003:

75-6 (93%)

10 out of Henin's 28 tournament wins since her ascent in 2003 have been on clay.

Conclusion: Henin may lose small battles along the way, but she's definitely winning the war. Very quietly and without much fanfare, she is slowly weaving the fabric of her legacy. The diminiutive Belgian is killing power tennis, one small stroke at a time, on hardcourts, where the majority of her wins have occured.

Nothing that happens tomorrow, next week, or the month after can alter the path Henin has set in place over this five year period, with the exception of a career-ending injury.

Henin has endured a major illness, divorce, two major on-court career scandals (if you will), fed cup scandals, injury, one accusation of doping, and tons of bad press. And yet, she's standing as the best player in the world today with a five-year record of unarguable success against the best players in the world during her ascent.

Henin is 52-13 vs today's top ten since her ascent in 2003.

There's no one tougher that Henin. Not even close.

I notice you are very pro the Chinese players - are you upset that Justine beat Peng and Zi? Is that why you said what you said?
