Will Serena & Vaidisova play the open?

Both have not played since wimbledon, who thinks that they will play?

Both will play.

They will definitely play. Serena is a fighter and even if her thumb is still a big problem she will be there. Vaidisova has been like this the whole year so she'll be there.

Both concentrate mostly on slams, so yes, they should both be there.

Hopefully they will still play.

They have rested, so might not be in match practice, but that doesnt bother Serena.

I have a feeling Serena won't.

Ted Robinson said on espn that it would be hard to imagine vaidisova playing the open...but i guess he doesnt have all the facts..

Nicole has already stated she will play, so unless somethign strange happens, she is going to play :)

Serena Im not really sure if she's healthy or not.

She's only played 4 tournaments since Miami, so there really shouldnt be much talk about her :o

I think they both will. We have seen many players this year play slams when they aren't 100%. (Hingis, Golovin, Sharapova, Serena etc)
