To make my point more clear.
Can you check the Cincinnati tournament?

I didn't commit to Cincinnati in the commitment thread

Now it looks more nicer to really ASK for a WC instead of just posting PAW's. Sorry, about that. I'll do that next time.

At the end Cincinnati was full and other had to play another tournament.

Now everything looks the same.
I can remember that I had not much time in the Cincinnati week.
Now the differences.
All WC's were given out in Cincinnati. At that time I still had not posted my PAW's. I did it after it and surprisenly I got in.
Now New Haven. I posted my PAW's BEFORE the last WC was given out.
And now I'm told that I'm too late?
In Cincinnati I was on time and in New Haven I was earlier than that.
While I did exactly the same thing.
Why was I added to the Cincinnati field? Only answer I can think of is: Cause of my PAW's. Then it should be the same for New Haven.
Which means I was ON TIME.

Now I like to hear a good explaination to prove this wrong.
It's not that I'm angry that I wasn't added to the list here.
I just think that it's not right this way. That's why I'm posting this.

Maybe 1 thing that you might mention in the reply.
Possibly you got added, cause some people didn't post PAW's while they committed.

In Cincinnati the manager didn't wait till Sunday to decide that I could play after all.

I just did the same thing in both tournaments, so I find it really strange that I'm not both out or both in. If I did something wrong in Cincinnati then why wasn't told me that.

Your behavior is really annoying. If you want to play PAW, then why don't you play Forest Hills as d_s suggested? I know that you receive less points, but enough WCs are available. I hope you finally accept the decision.

Sorry to be annoying, but the situation asked for it.

All I can say is, that the normal procedure should be that if you want to play you either commit in the commitment-thread before the final deadline, or you request a WC. You did neither. And the added problem for New Haven was that there were only 2 spots left, and they went to the people who requested a WC officially. If things were handled differently in Cincinatti, than I'm sorry about that...

And that's all I'm gonna say about this :)

Things are run this way, the way they were done this week. That's the 1 uniform rule.

Cincinatti was a mistake, a break of the rules for 1 tournament.

Cincinatti was a mistake, a break of the rules for 1 tournament.

I'm glad it came to that conclusion. If that won't happen again then I can't complain either.
I hope this discussion saves some trouble for the next tournaments.
I still think my points of Cincinnati can taken away.
Don't leave it there to be nice. Rules are rules, so don't make exceptions.
