Out of these players, I would pick Kirilenko. When she first burst onto the scene in 2004/2005, I expected her to accomplish much more than she has. She's still young (20 yrs.) and is currently experiencing a "return to form," so perhaps she will be a late bloomer.

Definitely Dani and Patty. For me though, Patty runs ahead of Dani just by a nose.

Schnyder, simply because she is by far and away the most talented on the list, but her results don't match up.

I think Razzano. She's playing good now but she really had the chance to blossom in the early stages of her career. She's also quite inconsistant. She's beaten Peer and Mirza in straight sets in the past two weeks but only a month back she lost to Errani 62 60.

Now that I write this, I change my mind to Schnyder. I think she had the potential to win a Grand Slam back in her peak.

Li Na should have won more singles titles, only one Tier III does not reflect her ability, IMO. She could have won Estoril against Zheng that year, but a dodgy retirement and jetting off to the next tournament straight away :help:

Razzano also, you can see she has talent when she upsets the top players, but she doesn't seem to be able to hold it together (as of yet... things could be changing now? :shrug: )

Schnyder and Hantuchova, it's pretty clear. Both have massive talent but head is not their strong weapon.

Hmm, my immediate reaction before seeing the names was Dani but on thinking about it I'd have to go with Patty for a couple of reasons. Firstly draws, Hantuchova has had horrendous draws over the years at Slam events and usually bows out to top players (and doesn't have the kind of record at any slam Patty has at Wimbledon). Secondly I don't think that any woman who has a career grand slam (for Dani in mixed doubles, only Court, Navratilova and King have done that) can ever have completely wasted her talent.

Oh come on - Patty tanks Wimby every year - most people know that. She hates grass and does whatever she can to get off the stuff as quickly as possible. ;)

Schiavone with all of her effort she gives into her matches, I doubt she can be very consistent...

I would have thought Daniela would have won more titles than he has.

Most players are just ballstrikers nowadays. I fail to see how it proves Hantuchova has overachieved.

Razzano is spectacular to me when she's on...her inconsistency kills her

Patty has actually done something I guess in my eyes...her mentality kills her

I say petrova..She has an exellent game style: her serve, voleys, she is a powerful hitter. If it wasn't because of her lack of mental toughness, she could have perfectly won a GS.

Schnyder is the most talented of the women you chose. Dementieva should be on the list though. I think she could have achieved a couple of slams at least with some lessons from a good serve coach and a sport's psychologist. I still count her as the best active player to have never won a slam. Patty is second on that list. The Serbians are close behind now that they're getting fairly consistent.
