If you gather it to the 256 guys, it's likely a number of them do.

Weinhold will probably win, she mad the final last year (but was destroyed by Albanese who crushed everyone here  :armed: )

I'd also like to see Kim Couts win it! :D

Barte, Will and Preeg all in the same quarter :awww:.
Coco and Oudin in the same quarter. That should be a cracker match.

I think one of the top half girls will take the title. And I'm betting on Coco! or Barte.

I know in Australia they have a stupid rule which allows a player to play in a certain age group (eg. 16&U) until a month before they turn 17 (in this case)

A similar rule must apply in the US

Aww, I guess Hilary was done in by her tough match yesterday; that's a pretty sad score. :( But let's face it; Melanie is GOOD. I hope she'll win this thing and snag that WC. :)

I thought you were allowed to play as long as you were 18. Gambale will turn 19 in December, so she should still be eligible. Maybe, though, the rule is that you can play until you are 18. I'm not that familiar with it anymore.

for Junior comps in 2007 you can only play in tourns if you were born between Jan 1 1989 and Dec 31 1994.

its not when you turn 19, its the year of birth.
obviously USTA have diff silly rules :o :o
having a 19yr winning the 18's defeats the purpose of having 18's

I guess it would be fair if players could play juniors till their 19th birthday because then players born in January wouldn't have a whole year advantage over players born in December.

No. Winning consolation doesn't mean much when you see how many walkovers there are.
