Taliamanosoko's long season will end in Karlsruhe, Germany

Ruflina Taliamanosoko played 2 events in Australia at the beginning of the year and then took off to have her first child. She did not reapper to the tour until mid-May for the German Open. Since then, she has played non-stop making the quarterfinals or better in most of her events.

She said, from the tournament in Botswana, "I am happy to be playing in Sabine's tournament. It is always so nice and so much fun. I love Germany. It's funny because we are playing each other tomorrow (in Botswana) so we will probably fly together to Karlsruhe Sunday night. This will be my last tournament until Sydney in January. I am almost 8 1/2 months pregnant and I will be going on maternity leave after this tournament."

Ruflina begins play on Monday night in a mixed-dobules match with her husband, Ikumbo Kimjumba against Upanova/Safin.

Graf, Valentine and Dokic announce: Team Champion!

In the world of the Fantasy Womens Tennis Tour, not one practise group can match up to the one which includes Sabine Graf, Selima Valentine and Jelena Dokic.

No players comman attaention like these 3 and today, they announced an exciting new development in their practise group.

Speaking via satellite, Graf, Valentine and Dokic announced their latest plan, Team Champion. A training development program which allows talented juniors to come otgether and join a group.

'We decided to have this because we recognise that there is a lot of talent out there and we need to develop it' said the trio, part of the most rigorous training program on the Tour.

The trio, are unmatched when it comes to work ethic. While other players take part in sexual innuendo (Anjie and Eva ), and others are giving birth to a herd of children, these 3 can be found on the practise court drilling away, occasionally joined by other talented players.

'We know we train hard and we think that by getting the younger players to do this, it will make them better' said the three stars.

The group will ask juniors to join Team Champion if they feel that those juniors have the capabilities to become top players.

'We are very excited by this and hope that everyone will help out the younger kids'

Below is a list of the first players to join team Champion. As more players start to unfold, more will be added to the entourage

- Gisele Noventz (BRA)
- Lara Miele (BRA)
- Barbara Miele (BRA)
- Daniela Dockitch (AUS)
- Dominique Keller (GER)
- Mia Ling Keller (GER)
- Ana Maria Herrera (MEX)
- Shizu Katsumi (JPN)
- Hong Da Jung (KOR)
- Mary Wong (CHN/HKG)
- Lindsay Anne Sarile (PHI)
- Juzzy Nakajima (JPN)
- Paula Masterton (GBR)
- Fleur Delacour (FRA)

The group will be looked after by several coaches, trainers and managers.

Sorrenta and de la Courtiere announce a team to rival Team Champion

Anjelica de la Courtiere and Eva Sorrenta announced just this hour that they would create an organization to rival Team Champion.

"Eva and I are considering what Jelena and the Germans are doing, and think that it could be promising," said de la Courtiere. "We plan on starting our own *training* sessions with those that we find to be acceptable to be near the likes of myself and Eva."

Details are scarce at this time, but sources close to the two players are saying that the only requirement for admittance is that you own your own racquets and thongs.

Currently, no members have been invited to join the two, and it looks as though it may be a good while before anyone is considered for membership.

-1st set:

*A "boring" set full of unforced errors in the first 30 minutes, both players hold their serves till 5-5, then Valentine lost it with double fault-Candela could not take advantage, she lost her serve easily. Tiebreak: Valentine played her best tennis in this set in tiebreak.

-2nd set:

*Sanchez-Lorenzo did not give up, she broke Valentine twice in this set and won this set with her strong groundstrokes.

-final set:

*Valentine lead 3-0 but Sanchez-Lorenzo played her best tennis in the whole match in this situation. 1-3;2-3;3-3;4-3 she had another two breakpoints in Valentine's service game-but the experience won against the newcomer!!!
Better luck next year Candela!!!

Outstanding Play from Dokic on Day One!

Australian tennis player, Jelena Dokic has had a promising start to the FWTT Baden Open Event in Karlsruhe today, thumping talented Japanese player, Juzzy Nakajima 6-2 6-3 to advance to the 2nd round. Here is a transcript of her press-conference:

Q: Jelena, you played some outstanding tennis out there, how has the break helped you?

A: Yeah, it was pretty good wasn't it (laughs). I think the break has been really good for me. I got to do other stuff and I didn't practise much at all. I just practised a little and had fun. It was good out there, getting back in action. I'm very happy with the way I played.

Q: What do you think of Nakajima?

A: I said this coming in and I'll say it now, she's a fantastic talent. The way she hits the ball, I mean, you can't teach that. She's probably lacking a little in terms of experience but in terms of skill, she's going to be great. I think that she's very confident and knows how to play the game, she'll be great.

Q: Your serve was wroking very well out there, is that something you've looked at?

A: Yeah, my serve has always been quite good but I'm definitely trying to put it up a notch. I think it's very important to be able to serve well under pressure and I think that I did that out there. You know, when she had the break points, I could come up with a big serve, an ace and that kind of breaks their rhythm.

Q: Now let's talk about Team Champion. What is it how much bigger will it get?

A: It's basically a group, where you know, we share trainers, coaches, managers. Me, Sabine, Selima and Nicole run it and anyone is welcome to help us. I think, being a sister of a junior, I can see how tough it is for these girls to adapt to the tour and really play good tennis, so we are here to help them. We have a few coaches, Tony Roche, Steffi Graf etc and they will help the kids along with us. We also have some great fitness trainers and managers. We help the kids with their training, schedules and we also hope for the girls to become close enough to create a network where they can find doubles partners etc. Well, we are trying to incorporate some players from Britain, Sophia Sabatini, Monica Gambill. Some players from the other not so well known countries, Krintcheva-Molik, Conde-Marrinez, Lamanke-Huber, Upanova. We'll be announcng another group soon.

Thanks Jelena

Adriana González arrived at Baden Open to prepare herself to the next season. She told some words to a German Newspaper:
------------------------------------------------------------
Q: This is your first on the tour, what do you think about that?

A: Oh, I did it very well. I played very well, in the juniors I never pass the second round of any tournament. Here, I got a final and two semis. I got two doubles titles with my partner Candela.

Q: You are playing here the main draw, against Martina Huubere from Australia, what will be your game?

A: Ummm I´ll try to play a bit agressive, but not much.

Q: In doubles You will play with Candela...

A: Yes, she is a great partner and a great friend. We can play very well together.

Q: And you already played your doubles mixed match.

A: Yes and we won it. Tommy played very very well, I was a bit irregular with my serve.

Q: Well, thanks for the interview, hope to see you tomorrow and make you another interview when you tell us your victory.

A: Thanks. I hope it too (laughs)
------------------------------------------------------------
http://www.igs.net/%7Ebmitchell/Tennis/Pascual/virgina104.jpg

Match of life for Gisele Noventz
This afternoon Gisele from Brazil, will face second ranked of FWTT's rankings, and top seed in the tournament. "I'm nervous. This is the match of my life even being in a exhibition. It counts for me as a real victory, cause I believe any of us wants to win" said Gisele. This end of year season is being great for her, who is one ranking away from the top 40. After being the heroine of brazilian team, and reaching the quarters of Mexico's tournament last week, Gisele finally found her form. And more, recieved a invitment to the Team Champions "I'm very greatful for the organizators, for inviting me. I'm very happy. Catherine Pierce def. (8) Regla Torres 2-6 7-6(9) 6-1

-1st set:

*The new FWTT World Champion Torres began with a bang!!! She broke the young Australian twice in first set and won it 6-2. Pierce was too nervous....

-2nd set:

*Torres lead 3-0 in second, no way to loose against Pierce but then Torres was unable to play like in first set. Pierce was getting better, her older sister Byranne helped her in this important situation. In tiebreak Catherine had better nerves and serve, she saved 3!!! matchpoints....

-final set:

*Pierce was an excellent player in this final set, unstoppable, strong and brilliant!!! With this performance Pierce is a dark-horse in this exhibition, but will she play this kind of tennis every day????

Adriana Gonzalez in another press conference:
------------------------------------------------------------
Q:Hi Adriana, you had a great day today right?

A: Yes, it was a very great day. First I won my singles match and then Tommy and I got the qualifying place in the mixed main draw.

Q: The singles match was very interesting. U lost the first set 1-6 and then U won the second 6-2. The third was a long tie break...

A: Yes it was. in the first set I was a bit nervous, and in the second Huubere got calm. In the third, both were very regular. We both had many chances in the tie break but finally I got the match.

Q: U are very tired right? All the sets of the mixed doubles match were tie breaks.

A: Yes I am, but I´ll recover for tomorrow´s match (I hope it)

Q: Tomorrow you will only play the first round of mixed. But u will play against The third seeds, can you defet them?

A: Yes why not? I think we played more matches and it´s an advantage.

Q: Ok Thanks. Bye

A: Thanks
------------------------------------------------------------
http://www.igs.net/%7Ebmitchell/Tennis/Pascual/virginia114.jpg

Jane Wong to play last exhibition match of the year

Here is an exclusive interview with Jane Wong

Q: So Jane, I heard you are not playing for any more exhibitions this year?

A: Yeah, I am really sorry you know because there are a lot of really fun exhibitions for some really important lifesaving charities, however, I have to put a stop to my schedule, as I am a bit wore out. I have been playing week in week out whole year, and my body is taking its toll. And of course, I want to attend Bryanne wedding and Ruflina's baby

Q: What did you think of your sister pulling out a lot of exhibitions including her own?

A: Well, I am sorry but it is not her fault, in fact it is no one fault. I knew that she was playing in Baden Open here for Sabine, but then suddenly there is a Grade A tournament happening in the Junior on the same week out of nowhere, I told her basically go play on your priority, and if you feel you need to concentrate on the Junior circuit more I will help you. So I told Sabine and explain everything, I don't think it is only happenign to Mary, in fact a lot of junior girls pull out of this exhibition and I am really sorry for Sabine, but what can you do?

Q: There has been a lot of controversy about Ruflina's drug addiction what do you think?

A: Well, all I have to say is that if Ruflina has done it she will stand up for it, she is a very honest girl, she will not lie to anyone whatsoever.

Q: Next match, Mirjana Hubbere, what do you think?

A: a very tough match, her sister is really good, and you know I saw Mirjana 's qualifying match the other day and I am really impress, so I am not taking anything for guarantee and I am sure to want to do well for my last tourney of the season

Q: Mary has been invited to the tour of Champions?

A: yeah she was pretty excited about it, I was a bit dissappointed I did not get invites (laughter) Anyway, it was really funny coz she came to me the other day and said in a very quiet tone that if I can let her join the tour of champions, I said it is your decision and if you feel it will be beneficial go ahead, it is not that I have to keep her to myself. Anyway, this is good for her, coz I know there will be a lot of junior girls in this training camp, it can only do her good.

Q: What do you think of the 30 million sponsorship deal of Jelena Dokic? You think she deserve it?

A: Oh of course, I mean if the sponsor is prepare to pay this kind of money, she is definitely worth it. I mean she deserve it so much coz she has improved so much lately, and it is exrta tough to beat her nowadays. I mean I got a really nice bonus this year which I will not complain about as well haha.

Q: How much did you earn in sponsorship fees then?

A: I am not telling you that haha, the only way you can find out is if you are my tax inspector (laughter). Thankyou

Madonika Diva Jahfson def. (2) Ruflina Taliamanosoko 7-6(5) 7-6(2)

After beating a top 10 player earlier in the season, Madonika Diva Jahfson has truly excelled on the tennis court. The most talented player on tour, Jahfson has lived up to the hype in her rookie year, beating 2 top 10 players in her first 7 tournaments and one of those wins came just yesterday over world #2 Ruflina Taliamanosoko.

"I was real hungry! I wanted to go out there and totally wipe her off the court! I'm real sick of hearing players say that I have not lived up to the hype which I am creating. I know I am the best player on tour, and I do not even need to prove it. Beating the world #2 in straight sets is proof enough."

Jahfson was down 1-5 in the opening set before winning the next 5 games in 19 minutes.

"I came out a bit flat and she had the crowd behind her but then I just said to myself...what the hell am I doing, I need to take her out, and fast! So I did just that"

Jahfson made 15 consecutive winners to win the 1st set in a tie break.

In the second set Jahfson again found herself down at 3-5 but managed to dig it out once again. On match point, she pumped her fist and screamed "YES!!!" while she blew kisses to the crowd with boo'd quite loudly.

"Thank you for the support," she responded sarcastically as the crowd shouted at her to get off the court.

"I love you too," she said as she walked off the court with her middle finger up high!

Tatiana and Chrystal: The real number 1's?

One has to ask the question after today, when they are together, they are without a doubt the hottest duo out there. Why? well it is simple, what other Pro/Junior combination have the wins these 2 have? Answer : None!!.

They are an amazing couple, one takes charge for a while and when that strategy loses it's gloss, the other takes over to try new things. If it doesn't work, thats okay too, the other takes dominance again. They are a pair to let responsibility flow between them like the cool waters of the Mississippi, but always flowing in the right direction.

Long live classy players who do their job, against the attention seeking 3 or 4 who whip up contoversy's and "so called-big announcements" during exhibitions, pushing their own agenda's and pushing the purpose of the Exhibition into the back ground.

Long live Tatian and Chrystal, FWTT needs them!!

Retiring Navratilova hits out at the selfish
Sports international ap: Welcome to the interview Chrystal, How are you?

Wondeful, infact never happier

No regrets about your retirement?

Definately not, I'm not a attention seeker like Dokic, when I say it is over, it is over

How did you feel after your final singles match

Great, I'm glad it's over..I fought out there, but didn't win, but thats okay. This match was one more then I had intended to play

No, I didn't, as far as I was concerned I had retired, but apparently I had agreed to this some weeks ago

Why didn't you just withdraw?

I'm not that sort of person, if I commit I commit

Anyone you will miss?

Not a great deal, I didn't play pro's long, the ones I'm friends with I will continue to see on a regular basis

How will you do that if there travelling from tournament to tournament?

Thats a surprise, to be announced at an appropiate time, not during a exhibition tournament for a good coarse

You have been critical of that

Yes and with Just course, each and everyone of these tournaments are for a good reason and it really pisses me off

That you have the pathetic characters like Dokic and Modonika pushing their own public driven desires over the well being of the tournament

Surely any publicity is good?

Oh please, we have a ego maniac like Dokic opening a training camp, naming members of the camp before she even bothered to ask if they were interested, who the fuck does she think she is?

Surely the camp is good?

Most definately, but you don't name people like it is some sort of command that they do it, I was proud to see Ana tell them where to go in the most polite of manners

What do you see as problems for the tour in the future?

Well the FWTT is going to go down hill if they don't knock the attitudes of the Dokics, Pierces, Jahffson on the head in a hurry, they are running the tour from the sidelines with their media pressure and idiotic ideas and outragoues claims

What would you do?

I'd be putting stricter controls on some of the players, pulling them into line or kicking their asses out

Who would you kick out first if you had the power?

Dokic for sure, she has lied, cheated, married, divorced, quit, rejoined, quit, rejoined, taken overdoses, changed nationalitys, quit, rejoined whinged and whined, quit and rejoined..slight exaggeration, but you get the point

Chrystal, good luck to you and Tatian for the rest of the tournament and keep telling it like it really is

Thank you

i think not tali has a drug problem, but medonika. have you ever seen her making a test? i have not. that would also explain her behaviour and why she jumped out of the window, but nobody tells the press about what happened to her - only for her protection, she's still a junior bla, bla, bla - tali and the other players never told it to someone. they are ok. but i will break the rule, i mean medinika needs help, she's still a teenager and will surely have a great future, but not under these conditions."

the hotel manager of medonika's hostle (in the bild): "yesterday we found her drunken on the floor, i don't know if it's normal - are all teenagers like that???"

steffi graf:"i've met medonika two years ago at the eddie herr champs, i don't recognize her, something must have happened..."

Q - Did you see as Madonika left the court as the crowd was booing?

A - No, I was ahead of her going into the locker room. I think the crowd has no right to boo her, just my opinion. She's just a child.

Q - She flipped them off.

A - Oh really (laughter). That doesn't surprise me, she's always one step ahead.

Q - The tour director fined her $25,000US for this event.

A - Well, that is the tour directors decision, I have no comment. It's not my tournament.

Q - The drug controversy has subsided. What happened?

A - Madonika and I had a talk. It's between us, that's all that matters.

Q - Sabine and Selima were very upset at her for making those accusations.

A - They are my some of my best friends....I am happy they feel strongly to defend me. It is nice to have that. Even though Madonika and I have talked, that was sweet of them.

Q - Your last singles match of the year?

A - Yes, I have doubles with Jane and Ikumbo, so I'm done with singles until Sydney.

Q - Pregnancy coming along?

A - Yes, I'm fine. Thank you.

Q - Boy or girl?

A - You will find out soon.

Q - Thanks and good luck in the doubles events.

A - Thank you!

Press Conference Interview

M: I'm holding this press conference due to the fact that I am pulling out of the Baden Open exhibition...

Press: Madonika, what is the reason?

M: Will you shut up!? I didn't finish. Anyway, as I was saying, I am pulling out due to the fact that I was fined for flipping the crowd off...kind of like this <<raises both middle fingers in the air>>
I think the tournament organizer, Sabine Graf is a petty, bitter, stupid, and arrogant player. The censorship on this tour is absolutely insane and I will take on the task in the next year to raise as much hell as possible. I will be every tournament organizer's nightmare...I promise you I will make all of their heads spin!

Press: Don't you think the tour will fine you for pulling out due to being fined?

M: I really don't care, the only reason I entered this exhibition is because I wanted to get some money. I could care less

Press: Why did you flip the crowd off?

M: Why do you think genius!? If people are going to be rude to me, I will not take it. First of all, I am not affected by their boo'ing at all. I thought it was incredibly funny, yet ironic because those same people are coming to see my next match and you know it will be sold out!

Press: You have built quite a reputation among players, fans, and

M: And the press? <<laughs>> Yea that's what I am here for. I am helping the tour sell tickets the way I see it. Ever since I joined the tour a lot more people have been coming to see the matches.

Press: Last question. About Ruflina and the entire drug controversy...

M: Will you moronic idiots just let it go!? What went down, went down. There is no more to discuss. Me and Ruflina are and will always be friends. She has my back and I have hers.

Press: Have you talked ever since you defeated her a few days ago?

M: Yea we talked. Before and after the match. We were both talking about how we absolutely hate Dokic and Ferrer...especially Dokic! What a waste! I was also telling her that I think my old doubles partner made the right choice to retire, because she was trash anyways!

Nov 29th, 2001, 02:12 AM

Madonika Diva Jahfson went to the FWTT office and the Baden Open today, pulled out, and payed her $25,000 in cash, by $1 bills.

"The way I see it, there's plenty more where that came from! I got cash baby and I don't care about your fines."

On another note, Jahfson already warns the FWTT about her upcoming outfits.

"I'm currently working with designer Jean Paul Gaultier and we are designing some incredible stuff for my upcoming season. Let me just put it this way....very little is left for the imagination!"

Nov 29th, 2001, 02:23 AM

Madonika responds to Selima's comments:

"So what if I like to get drunk! It's not illegal! I don't do drugs but hell yea I drink, and I DRINK UNTIL I AM WASTED BABY!!! THE FWTT CAN'T FINE ME BECAUSE I DONT DRINK BEFORE OR AFTER MATCHES, SO KISS MY YOU KNOW WHAT...KISS IT GOOD!!! Atleast I don't do lines like you and Dokic, but wait...your English is so bad that you probably don't know what lines are, so let me spell it out for you WHORE! C O C A I N E! YOU SNIFF IT, SNORT IT, AND LICK IT!"

Q: Jane a dissappointing loss in singles today?
A: Well not really, I mean Mirjana is such a great player, those groundies you know is breathtaking, I give her all the credits in the world.

Q: You and Ruflina though have a good doubles win.
A: Well, that sort of make it up a bit, but of course it will be nice to chalk up a win in singles.

Q: Your sister Mary was crying on court yesterday after her match.
A: Yeah, I talk to her in the phone and she just says that things do not work out like she like to you know, I told her that results will not come immediately, I mean it took me a whole year to set foot into the tour. She is a lot calmer now, and she said she will give it a best shot.

Q: What do you think about the recent outrage by Moniker Jahson?
A: Well, I am relieve that Ruflina is cleared from the issue, and you know she has a lot to worry about her baby and stuff and last thing you want to do is her getting upset and thereby hurt the baby. for Jahson, I really feel for her, I try to speak to her yesterday but she is gone already. I gather that she is from a very rich family and that she wants attention but this is not the way to do it, I just really worry about her burning out soon, I will try to contact her to talk her through

Madonika Diva Jahfson withdrew from Baden Open.
24 hours after her sensational victory against world number 3 and 2nd seeded Ruflina Taliamanosoko, Jahfson was fined for her behavior towards the German crowd in Karlsruhe.
The tour director Sabine Graf and her team were shocked by Jahfson's behavoir during this first round match on Centre Court. Botswanians Ruflina Taliamanosko and Ikumbo Kimjumba advanced to the mixed doubles semi-finals in the Baden Open exhibition with at 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 win over Sanchez-Lorenzo/Vanderloo. The husband and wife combo are expecting there second child in a few weeks.

Here is the post-match conference with Ruflina Taliamanosoko.

Q: A lot has happened the past few days, with Madonika and Selima. How do you feel about that?

A: I am not defending her. What she said was inappropriate, however, you must not take what she says so seriously. She says stuff like that all the time.

Q: Do you think she should have been fined?

A: It is probably a good idea, just to let her know what is within limits, but it's not my decision. It is the Baden Open's decision only.

Q: Did you really say those things about all the players?

A: Well, let me first say that Larissa is an incredible lady. I have a tremendous amount of respect for her and would never say anything bad about her. As for Selima and Sabine, they are 2 of my best friends. In fact, Sabine was one of my bridesmaids at my wedding last year, so we like each other a lot.

Q: What about Dokic?

A: Jelena makes a mountain out of a molehill. She came to me very upset about what Madonika had said. She was blaming me for it. It was quite ridiculous actually. It's funny because she is the one who tries to get other people to say things in press conferences all the time. I know, because I have been asked by her many times and so have several other people, yet she won't say anything herself. She stays quiet and acts like she is innocent, when in reality, she and Madonika are the 2 most disliked players on the tour. Madonika just says it to everybody's face and Jelena says it behind everybodys back. I know this because I have discussed it with many many other players and they all feel the same. So basically is what I am saying is this. Do I like Jelena? No. Do I respect Jelena? I respect everybody.

Q: You do realize you are feeding fuel to the fire?

A: I am, but it gets tiring knowing what goes on behind peoples backs and nothing is done. Jelena is an excellent player, don't get me wrong, she just needs to play the game and quit making a big deal out of everything.

Q: So, basically you are saying Selima and Sabine are okay with you?

A: Oh definitely. They are my 2 best friends on the tour, aside from Jane. As a matter of fact, I would just like to thank The 3 right now for believing in me when nobody else would about my so-called drug-addiction.

Q: Do you feel better?

A: Why should I? This is just a bunch of negativity. I should not have said anything, but every once in a while you have to let lose.

Q: You have seen the list for the Players Council, right? Are you pleased?

A: Most definitely. I think you could not have selected 5 better players to do a great service to the tour. I am very pleased with Mr. Ituarte's (tour director) job of running the tour.

Q: Thank you for your time Ruflina and good luck in the rest of your matches.

A: Thanks and goodbye!

Madonika Diva Jahfson,

Due to several complaints the FWTT Player Council has decided to step in and give you a warning about your behavior. As of right now, you will not be punished in any way, but we would like to try to deter you from similar behavior in the future. If you do not tone it down in the coming FWTT events the Council may have to enact some sort of punishment to attempt to convince you to do so.

Nov 30th, 2001, 07:46 AM
Oh for god sakes, you guys a meglomaniacs, go fuck a cat or something, but stop trying to impose your "Will" and so called "Power" on other players.
Tatiana best know too, when Adminstartors of this board use the word "Fuck" on their Topic headings, then the word is open to be used by anyone on this board.

Nov 30th, 2001, 07:53 AM
Maybe you should stay out of things that don't concern you?

Nov 30th, 2001, 09:40 AM
Adrian - thanks for the clarification! You seem to have an answer for most things. I bet you were a great debater at school...

However I am still awaiting an email....

Tatiana lost as expected. Sadly her tactics were only good enough to beat Nicole Arenot. Rats!

Ruflina goes ahead to mixed-doubles final and doubles semi-final

Ruflina Taliamanosoko and Ikumba Kimjumba defeated the Brit team of Nicole Arenot and Tim Henman in 3 sets to advance to the mixed doubles final at the Baden Open against Anjelica De La Courtiere and Sebastian Grosjean. In the doubles competition, she paired with full-time partner Jane Wong and upended the team of Fleur Delacour and Regla Torres in 3 very tight sets. That put the Botswanian/Hong Kong team in the semifinals against the former-junior queens, Tatiana Upanova and Chrystal Navratilova.

[b]Q: Do you feel good about your wins today?

A: It's always nice to win, but it's special with Ikumbo because we usually only play in the grand slams, so it's nice to do it here in Germany. With Jane, it's always great to play with her because she's such a positive person.

Q: Have you spoken to Madonika since the controversy?

A: Which one? (laughter)

Q: The whole slander issue.

A: No, have not spoken with her in a few days....I think she went back to London to prepare during the off-season. I probably won't see her again until down in Australia. After this, Jane and I are flying straight down for Bryanne's wedding then I am returning to San Diego and expecting the baby any day.

Q: The Players Tour Council reprimanded her. Do you support or condone it?

A: The council is there for a reason, and I think it did an appropriate job with Madonika, except that they should not broadcast it to all the other players, just the one it involved. Madonika justly deserved the punishment, but I hope they are not just picking her out because there are some that need the same punishment as well.

Q: Like who?

A: It doesn't really matter who it is....just that the council does a good job, and so far, I think they are.

Q: Good luck in the finals and semifinals tomorrow!

A: Thank you!

Jane Wong happy with win, upset with Selima injury

Q: So what do think about Selima's injry?
A: What do you expect me to say, I am really sorry for Selima injury, she is seriously injured, it is horrible (weeping), Madoniker is so irresponsible, I really think police should involved in this you know. I think she should be banned in the tour.

Q: So have you visited Selima?
A: Yeah, me and Ruflina just come back from visiting her, this is really upsetting you know (weeping again) seeing a fellow pro suffer like that, I mean the tour should have done something to avoid this kind of thing you know.

Q: What they should have done?
A: There's no security guard around you know and after several outburst, no one do anything to Jahson apart from those petty fine which jahson thought is a joke you know

Q: how about your doubles match?
A: I really is not in a mood you know, apart from the fact that I think I play well, and Ruflina played great as well you know.

Exhibitions are not in the Fwtt... This of exhibitoins are only for players to see different ways of how toumaments are.. is as if the WTA wanted to put hand in Hong Kong if there are problems there. sorry but I can not do anything in an event that is not in my responsability....

About having de la Courtiere in the Fwtt Council better you people start to see if you are not causing problems.. better worry about your selves and not about the others.

Anyways these people wont be here for long this is only for December month so you people decide who do you want for next year.

this year is not selima's year:

she had many other injury problems (which forced her to pull out for two months), her mother fought against cancer (selima was always by her side) ans now...
