Seems like a very premature come back, but either way I am elated.

2008 is really going to be competetive for sure if she regains her 2005 form some players are going to be sqeezed out of top ten because its going to be so crowded.she is coming back to the top ten after Australia and she deserves to be in the top ten for sure.Next year will reflect the true top ten players and top ten of this year will be different from next yr's for sure.Welcome back Lindsay!

People stating she´ll be top10 after Australia ignore the fact that 2-3 events alone don´t make her a top10 player again. If she let her points before/at the UO slip she´ll be dropped of the rankings. If she just plays Bali 2007 and maybe one more time in the US for an indoor event, this won´t rank her in the rankings at all. This might be of special importance regarding seeds at the Australian events. And just play one event before the GS and at the GS itself are just 3-5 events played. To expect her to ease through draws automatically does not reflect the fate of the draws if she´s to play against the elite early.

She will still be ranked after the US Open because she's got zero points counting from AO, FO, WIM and Miami (the mandatory ones). She only played 5 tourneys in the last 12 months (LA, New Haven, USO, Bali and Beijing), yet the rankings have her at 9 played because she was still ranked high enough to get direct entry to all the mandatory events this year.

Not as "breaking" as it was two days age when we had three threads on this topic.
