RULES

<img src="smile.gif" border="0"> Each team must include five posters who are playing the Tennis Poker singles tournaments.

<img src="smile.gif" border="0"> You don’t need to choose another combination, but each team member must have a valid team for the singles: you’ll compete in the team event with the same sets of five players in the team event too.

<img src="smile.gif" border="0"> In the singles tournaments, each poster collects ranking points in three ways: scoring a good combination, winning matches and beating opponents who are higher ranked.

<img src="smile.gif" border="0"> The team performance will be measured through the average score of the members in the singles tournament. I will sum up the values for all the team and divide that total for the number of members.

<img src="smile.gif" border="0"> In each leg, the posters with the best results will win immunity for themselves and for all the others in their team: all the members will contribute to the team score and go on playing in the following round.

<img src="smile.gif" border="0"> Among the teams at the bottom of the ranking which haven’t gained the immunity, the posters with the lowest combinations will be eliminated. From that moment these players won't contribute anymore to the score and the team average will include only the posters who are still in the game.

<img src="smile.gif" border="0"> The number of immunities and eliminations per leg will depend on how many posters decide to join the game.

<img src="smile.gif" border="0"> Of course, the team which collects more points at the end of the season will win the event.

Domenico, can I do one of those unification things like Griffin and Ayla did when Ayla was absent from the board? The reason I ask is that I was approached about a team merger. Since one member of my team (Luis) has been absent for a while, could I count Me and Luis as one, making the new team Sofiane, Me/Luis, and the 3 members of the other team?

If Sofiane hasn't picked a singles team yet, I'll get ahold of him and get picks.

Well, it's "work in progress" for 4 teams, and that should be enough to guarantee the game format to be reasonable. With 20 posters and 8 legs, I think one elimination per leg will do. I'm wondering about the idea of giving immunity to the best 4 combinations, so that there would be the chance for all the teams to go through without losses. I'll take a final decision when it's clearer how many people will actually sign up. <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Okay, I've gotten Sofiane's team entered in singles. Now is the official announcement of the merger of the LOL Animals with Team Sexy Lingerie. Our new team name is yet to be determined. Hi Doc!! Looks like you're getting it all together so nicely again...I really appreciate the way you always make it so easy on all of us with the links etc...very efficient IMO! <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Anyway...Yes...the Animals are now wearing Sexy Lingerie! lol

I kinda jokingly demanded that I be team captain (you know how bossy I can be right?) but we never really voted...in fact...I would like to propose something to you...Would you consider allowing teams to have 2 co-captains since there are now 5 players per team? I think it might ease the burden on any captain that might be away or offline if the occasion arose for a decision...no pressure...just throwing that out at you. <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Now...since we are the only team assembled thus far...I think we shall go with green as our font color...but by chance do you have any unusual colors or could you list the colors available? I mean...you might have several shades of green for all I know...lol!

We have voted on team name but still need one vote to be cast to break the tie...

Also...I was successful in getting 3 players to sign up...and tonight I wrote to 4 others who will likely be re-forming as well.

Thats it for now...I'm up late so I'll likely have the new team name to you later on this morning or tommorrow...ok?

First of all, I would like to thank Valda and Poe for the great help and support. Searching a list of the font colors and contacting last year’s contestants were both on my agenda, I guess I’ll have more time for my Christmas shopping. <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

About the co-captains: you can elect as many as you’d like, as there won’t be a definite role for it. Each team member will have to take care of the singles combination through the year in order to be competitive, but team decisions won’t probably needed. In any case, I already have at least an e-mail address for each team, so I know how to contact everyone in any case. So, for the next season the name and the captain are not compulsory, and a color to represent the team will be enough. <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

JCAPfan, if you haven't any particular preference, I would like you to fill the empty spaces in the already existing teams before creating new ones.

My suggestion: According to the EU projects <img src="wink.gif" border="0"> we extend the Belgian alliance to Kris from Germany, while JCAPfan and M_Pierce fan go to complete the 3rd team with The Pea, Paul and Adrian.

If all the 6 teams complete the registration, I think it should be a good idea to give immunity to the top 5 and to have TWO eliminations per leg, in order to remain at the end with 14 out of 30 posters. <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Ok, we're going to have 7-8 teams with 35-40 posters, so I've decided to raise to 3 the number of eliminations per leg. I'm still wondering about the number of immunities. At this moment my idea would be to give immunities to the teams of the 4 semifinalists in the singles and of the posters with the best 4 combination. Of course the one with the best combination is always the tournament winner, and that means there would be from 4 up to 7 immunities. I'll think about it, suggestions are welcome. <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Hi Doc,

I think I will finalise our color just to get it out of the way. The TOP's team will use Khaki, which looks like this:

jacs/RayRob/bh440/Janice Kersey/Beckl

You may have to do a color test against some of the other picks as I know it looks similar to some of the other teams. If it is that it is too similar to another teams color then I'll change it.

Polishprodigy, the spare cards are picked by me randomly among the best players who haven't been included in any combination. Their values are considered in your combination if a player (e.g. Kanepi) doesn't compete. It's unlikely Kapros will be a spare card, as they are probably going to be at least top 50 players. As soon as the exhibition goes on, the spare cards feature is one of the first things I will post, and I'm sure everything will be clearer when you see a practical example of how it works. <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
