Hmmm...I'll have to check how that 1R Wimbledon: Vesnina vs. Poutchkova finally turned out. Last I looked, Olga garnered only 1 vote.

Are we talking about clay or the French Open becaUSE queen of Roland garros is Henin, but on other clay tournaments Mauresmo and Henin have good matches, but Henin and Mauresmo is close, but still Henin.

Who in the world selected Martina Hingis as the best player on clay? :haha:

why was there even a poll

that's like saying:

"what's 3+4"

vote:

7,6,8,10 , but :bigclap: for trying to be diplomatic about it.

Martina may have better career #s on clay, but ATM, Justine is FAR and away the best clay courter around.

In Me Brain, I want to say Hingis...

...I'm still amazed that Chucky never won the French...

...but in reality Christine by a mile.

Why would Vaidisova qualify for the list and not Venus? Has Vaidisova won tier 1 cay title or been to a RG final? That would be a big, fat, NO!

Those people who do not vote for Henin are :cuckoo:

Seriously, not a single active player comes even CLOSE to what Justine has achieved on clay so far!

Vaidisova (never in Tier II finals) and Dementieva (never won big red clay event) instead of Venus and Petrova???

And, btw Ivanovic won Berlin-2007, not Qatar (it was Henin who won in Doha on hard). And Jankovic also won Charleston.

Berlin is the Qatar Telecom German Open.

And I don't see why people are complaining about the choices in the poll. It could look like this:

Justine Henin
Nancy Loeffler-Caro
Brie Whitehead
Dewonder Davis

etc.

And the results would be the same.

But it's Berlin, not Doha event. Regardless of sponsor's name it's German Open in Berlin.

Apparently, several voters have the other opinion  :tape:
