It was so sad to see her in so much pain  I´m so happy it´s raining right now hopefully her cramp will go away so she can finish it in two. It was so moving to see her keep fighting and the support she´s getting from her father, Jackie and Oracene and Venus were looking so worried. It would be so sad to see her go out like this. The fact, that she lacks match practice, is real and obvious and she should not have an advantage over another player with a similar problem , who didn't have the luck to witness rain during his/her match. As I said in the update thread, I'm not sure if the rain delay would help Serena, actually. With cramps usually they flare up in rainy humid weather, and being off the court would make whatever's cramping her hurt worse. :(

She was playing pretty well up to this, all I've seen so far is the first set. :fiery: Stupid NBC and their tape delays.

Wannabeknowitall
Jul 2nd, 2007, 04:41 PM
Cramping in this weather?

Serena is fucking during a slam. That's the only way I can see her cramping as fit as she is.

I haven't seen Jackie Long all tourni until now and now's she cramping.
She probably tried to get in a quickie before the match or during one of the rain delays, perhaps to get out some tension.
I wouldn't be surprised if Jackie wore that out for whatever time he was fucking. :tape:

cartmancop
Jul 2nd, 2007, 04:41 PM
7 out of 10 players I feel probably would have said: "That's enough, I can't do it, I quit" Good fighting from Serena, showing how bad she wants to get back to the top & how bad she wants that match vs Justine...

Where are your liquids, I like the stretching but where are the liquids!!!

The best liquid was the one falling from the sky.:D
On a more serious note, most of the times when someone starts cramping like that it's the low levels or lack of potassium in the body. While there's a break she should eat fruit, a banana would be a good choice.

Now, Serena will kick Daniela's ass after the rain delay. And deservedly so.

I can't believe she let Serena hold serve at 5-6, lol. Experience should have taught these players by now that when your opponent is down make sure she stays down. This shit about thinking about your opponent injury and losing your own concentration, IMO, is pure crap. Are people really that stupid as to not exploit an opponent's obvious lack of movement? Serena couldn't even jump into her serve and apart from two good serves her game was not challenged by Hantuchova.

After she loses this match to 1-legged Serena she's bound to slash her wrists. What an ass!

This rain delay could be very beneficial to Hantuchova as well. Speaking to friends and such, she will be able to re-examine her questionable attack plan.

Umm, Daniela went up to the net and stood there for about 5 minutes seeing what was going on.. she didnt just sit down in her chair

You're right. When Serena screamed out in agony, Daniela looked really worried. She looked like she was on the verge of tears herself, her consern was that great.

If the roles were reversed, Serena would have killed off that second set 7-5 and would now be 2-0 up in the third, before any rain came!! Daniella doesn't have the killer instinct today.

this is absolutely true. and that's the difference between a multi-slam winner and a player who hasn't.

Good god, she is playing an injured player. I'm sure she isn't a robot.

It's not easy playing an injured opponent who is in tears and can barely move.

She is human you know.

The covers are coming off... LAWD! I really can't breathe.

And yall need to quit with the sex with Jackie opinions. I was just starting to like that boy, but I will travel to Florida and beat that ass.

Not sure what Dani is doing either? But I think her concern was genuine. I would hate to be in her situation.

You don't win slams feeling sorry for an injured player. Especially against a fighter like Serena, who is likely to tear you apart after the restart!!

I was crying after I saw what happened to Serena. Seriously, shit like that doesn't deserve to happen to anyone.

I hope she's okay. I don't know what to feel about it right now. I like both, but even if Serena wins, she faces the task of playing Henin tomorrow they were saying? Jesus Christ.
