Nadia took a WC here. Either she plays great, or she'll get very few points here.

Nadia should make good here or after Berlin she'll be out of top 10 and can have problems with French Open draw cause of it ;)

After Berlin she has nothing to defend. The bad part of this year was IW. Nadia skipped Doha and was rested for a weak field in a super Tier I. But it was very hot and Nadia had to retire.

My wish for the Frenchis is that she is still in the top ten. She has do act well in Berlin, although it will be very difficult, because all tops will pla there.
But I wish her good luck for Warsaw ;)

Go Nadia!! :D No pressure this time. No title to defend. All the best in Warsaw. :D

Nadia won 63 75

I'm kind of worried that Nadia was pushed this hard by Piter. Hopefully it's just some rust from Nadia, otherwise, it's not promising for her upcoming tournaments.

hope Nadia played 15% of her real powers ;)

next is Santanglo, she is gonna be tougher :scared:

Petrova struggles to overcome Piter in Warsawhttp://www.gulf-times.com/site/images/spacer.gif Published: Tuesday, 1 May, 2007, 12:54 PM

Nadia Petrova struggled to overcome unranked Polish junior Katarzyna Piter before reaching the second round of the Warsaw Cup yesterday.
The fifth-seeded Russian, who last year took three clay-court titles leading up to the French Open, only to injure her hip and miss both Roland Garros and Wimbledon, eventually claimed a 6-3, 7-5 victory.
She failed to serve out the match after breaking to lead the second set 5-4. Piter played well defensively, hit some good passing shots and led the second set 2-0 before Petrova levelled.
"I think I was playing against two opponents today," said Petrova.
"One was on the other side of the net and one was on the same side as I was. I really had a difficult time because last week I didn't do much practising, and the previous week I played Fed Cup and that was indoors so it was completely different conditions."

I take it Nadia is only practicing from those pictures. Because if that was in an actual match and she was wearing that then maybe Nadia should have stayed with Adidas.

Nadia needs to lose some weight.

Next up Santangelo. Nadia should get past her.

Absolutely terrible. Nadia won't have a good clay season if this keeps going. She needs to get to the gym immediately.

Nadia played well in Miami and AI. I think today was about Nadia's health and the weather in Warsaw.

Nadia's last 4 clay tournaments that were Tier I or II -
3 championshipss and a final.

There's something wrong this week. I'm guessing her wrist.

Yeah there has to a very good reason for this early round loss. I know Nadia is known to be a headcase (part of the reason why I like her) but I believed this is something more serious than that. No offense to Santangelo but she's the kind of player that Nadia could have managed to beat even if she was mentally imploding.
