Worst loss of the year for Alizé :( Malek is nothing special, Caroline destroyed her twice, so she should have been able to win no matter how.
I'm so disappointed !

its not like Cornet is something special :o no serve whatsoever and an overall very unspectacular game

Tatjana :D
best tournament of her career so far, Fed Cup certainly did help, she was hitting very well there

Malek was nowhere near Alizé's level at 17. Based on their last performances and talent, Alizé was the favourite. And for having seen Malek playing, this is a bad result.

Then what does Malek do that's so amazing?

Alize is very good on clay so she was probably the favorite going into this match and it looks as if she had a meltdown.

 So what is Alize's level at 17? She has done nothing special in her career so far, nor had a good win yet. She is a better journeywoman so far and Malek isnt far behind if she is at all. Malek beat Cornet in 2006. And that was by 60 64.

What has Cornet done in her career so far? Winning two 25k's? A win over Garbin? And with that you say she is way above Malek who has also two 25k's under her belt?

(1) When did I say Malek does something special?
(2) I assume you havent seen Malek play so you shouldnt roll your eyes and may keep your biased mouth shut for once :)

Alize's best surface ist clay which doesnt mean she is very good. I have nothing against her, I dont care about her. Just want to relativate the "bad loss" for Alize who lost to Tatjana before.

Alize is definatley more talented than Malek, iv seen some of Malek and yes she has a nice game, but no real big weapons. Not saying Alize is a huge hittier, but she's improved alot over the past few months, reads the game extremely well, is very savvy and theie is nothing Malek does that should really trouble Alize in general

once again, I never said Tatjana has a nice game and real big weapons. I am also not doubting Cornet being more talented.

If Cornet works on her serve and gets some more pace on her groundies, learns to volley, then she can have a nice career. But as for now, its just not a horrible or bad loss for her losing to Malek. Cornet hasnt had an impressive result in her career yet. H2H is 2-0 for Malek now.

I don't like Alizé's attitude, sorry :tape: "Allez" after each point is annoying, and she behaves like such a star...BORING.
