Clay is very much Tati's worse surface. It is also very much Catalina's best surface. I'd say this is a toss up. No idea. I hope Tati can pull it out but it won't be easy.

Well she ain't that bad on clay, moreover she's been working with Courteau & Goven recently so she should be well prepared for the match...I say Tati in str8 but somewhat difficult sets, something like 7-5 6-4...

Well in 15 claycourt tournaments during her career Tati has only twice been beyond the 2nd round. But she is improving as a player all the time and if she has prepared well that certainly increases her chances.

I am giving her a 50-50 chance of winning the match and I am hoping for the best but based on their records I am very surprised to see so many people assuming Tati should routinely beat an experienced claycourter like Castano.

Does Tati always work with Couteau or is it just because Amélie is out for a while?

I think Castano might pull of the "upset" here. Of course there is only one other person who agrees with me. :help:

In 2004 she still had to play qualies and in 2005 she made the SF in Charleston beating Vee and Petrova, and loosing to henin in 2 close sets.. Then she got injured before RG, and didn't play on clay last year except in FedCup
So we'll see
