Nice article, but i doubt she'll find any success in the clay court season no matter how much training she does.

I also can't believe the part where she says, that she plans on playing for another 7-10 years.:tape:

GO ALEX (J.LO)!!!! :hearts:

LOL. Love her positive outlook. She's gonna need to trim down so, so much though if she's actually serious about trying to get back into the top 100... and who knows if even that will do anything :tape:, but I wish her the best of luck.

I cant help but think she might be better off calling it quits though, cause I really dont see her ever being even close to the player she once was. But again, it's good that she believes in herself. Slightly delusional, but still.

Alexandra Stevenson hasn't been in the news much the last few years. You might even have forgotten about her.

i've been trying to, so could you please stop posting about her. she is washed up. end of story.

Well she is only in her mid20's so if she starts doing a bit better than playing into her mid30's wouldn't be a bad idea...that's what lots of professional tennis players do, which she is.

But 1st she has to start doing better. I am not a huge Alex fan, but she does have talent and there is no reason she can't back into the top100, maybe even top 50, if she is serious.

Since I didn't know all that much about Alex, I was just on her profile and I cant Believe she beat Capriati 2x in 2002!!! That is pretty impressive...Martina couldn't :bolt:

people forget that at her best alexandra had a great serve, which evidently helped her get to the wimbledon semi-finals and then the top 20. she was also a great fighter (when she wanted to be) which also helped her win a lot of matches. her volleys were good too, particularly on grass/indoors

however, her movement was always a huge weakness, and also her fitness (she's never been in great shape). she also struggled to stay in long rallies sometimes (hence no success on red clay), she's prefer to get the point over quickly when she could, like venus and serena in that aspect i guess

I actually hope she doesn't get a qualy WC next week. She will just get destroyed again. If she is going to play on clay, then she definitely needs to play ITF tournies, probably $10ks.

I hope all the best for Alex.

Back in the day, she was a little too Polly Anna for me, but hopefully she's matured.

good luck, Alex.
