MrSerenaWilliams Apr 3rd, 2007, 07:14 PM It's her tournament to win/lose  She needs to get it together for the later round, but I mean the Patty match will be a good test to see where she is. But she's really hard on herself after a loss, and generally practices harder to make sure that she doesn't go through that again. kadirelf Apr 3rd, 2007, 07:15 PM Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss Go Venusssssssssssssssssssssssss Ferosh Apr 3rd, 2007, 07:15 PM I don't know... Apr 3rd, 2007, 07:38 PM It's everyone's tournament to win or lose :o At the end of the day, she'll have to win 6 tough matches - considering she has Seed #4 Patty Schnyder in the second round ... I think Nadia has a better chance of winning it, myself  Mina Vagante Apr 3rd, 2007, 07:39 PM yes John. Apr 3rd, 2007, 07:40 PM  She has a chance. We'll know more after tonight marlon Apr 3rd, 2007, 07:40 PM will you win it Wayn77 Apr 3rd, 2007, 07:40 PM I just don't know. Tennisaddict Apr 3rd, 2007, 07:45 PM I really don´t know. It totally depends on which Venus shows up. I hope it´s the Venus that plays clean aggressive tennis and crushes the whole field. In The Zone Apr 3rd, 2007, 08:30 PM Too early to say. She is, of course, more than capable. but will she execute? It's a never ending saga with her. SoClose Apr 3rd, 2007, 08:32 PM Yes SAEKeithSerena Apr 3rd, 2007, 08:35 PM yes. marlon Apr 3rd, 2007, 08:36 PM who's is this rezai chick she any good Kunal Apr 3rd, 2007, 08:54 PM i have a good feeling bout this .Andrew. I think Nadia has a better chance of winning it, myself  This is a fair statement to make, but tell me when's the last time Patty beat Venus? GracefulVenus Apr 3rd, 2007, 10:01 PM This is a fair statement to make, but tell me when's the last time Patty beat Venus? I agree, I think it's a mental thing with Patty playing Venus. She has the game to do it of course. Some players you just can't win against. AJZ. Apr 3rd, 2007, 10:43 PM This is a fair statement to make, but tell me when's the last time Patty beat Venus? Okay, never, or at least not in this lifetime  but still. The last two encounters were on clay (Rome and RG 2006) and both were quite close - but Venus was also ranked higher back then. She's coming in with two tournaments under her belt - Memphis and Miami, and apparently she wasn't too great in Memphis... Even if Patty hasn't played her greatest as of late either, I think she's a valiant opponent on clay... So I'm just saying it's not a sealed deal for Venus  junlee_vee Apr 4th, 2007, 04:16 AM ^^^I agree. :) It should be a tough match for Vee! RJWCapriati Apr 4th, 2007, 04:17 AM Yes serena_fan Apr 4th, 2007, 05:20 AM yes BrokewingsPrince Apr 4th, 2007, 10:36 AM no austennis Apr 4th, 2007, 10:48 AM If she stands up and plays consistently and hard she will win it.. with only threat from Petrova vesanto Apr 4th, 2007, 10:55 AM I am thinking about each match. First she has to defeat Schnyder. She is more than capable of that but let's see which Venus shows on court. Juanes Apr 4th, 2007, 12:35 PM never.... V-MAC Apr 4th, 2007, 12:38 PM  Encouraging signs so far though vwfan Apr 4th, 2007, 01:40 PM one match at a time. next Patty. It will be a tough one. Their last matches have gone the distance, but an 8-0 lead gives Venus a huge psychological advantage, if she just stays focused. | |
