It's her tournament to win/lose :shrug: She needs to get it together for the later round, but I mean the Patty match will be a good test to see where she is. But she's really hard on herself after a loss, and generally practices harder to make sure that she doesn't go through that again.

I agree, I think it's a mental thing with Patty playing Venus. She has the game to do it of course. Some players you just can't win against.

Okay, never, or at least not in this lifetime :lol: but still.
The last two encounters were on clay (Rome and RG 2006) and both were quite close - but Venus was also ranked higher back then. She's coming in with two tournaments under her belt - Memphis and Miami, and apparently she wasn't too great in Memphis...
Even if Patty hasn't played her greatest as of late either, I think she's a valiant opponent on clay...
So I'm just saying it's not a sealed deal for Venus :shrug:
