Yung-Jan led 4-2*,5-3*,*5-4 and *6-5 in the first set. :o She always blows her lead and sends off a easy following set to her opponent. :(

YTD Win/Loss : 0-4  :bigcry:

Looks like Chan can always play one close set against the good players. She just needs to gain more experience and one of these days she will win over those players. Good luck in Miami.

Congrats Dechy.

Won some vCash on this one. Couldn't believe the odds when I saw them.

From the little I saw of her vs Molik at the AO, Chan has no business being in the top 100. She had a good run at Tokyo TIII last year, but apart from that she's just another of the countless Challenger Circuit "stars" who took advantage of last year's fucked up ranking points system to climb into the top 100. Maybe in a couple of years.

Actually,as a huge fan though,I kind of started to think the same after these bad losts. But it's true we can't deny her brilliant performances in challengers last year when she was still so young (only 16 most of the year). And I think it's normal for young,up and coming players to play more lower events to learn experience and gain some points. So I am like  about the bashing on how her rank builds up.She IS trying on WTA tour now, isn't she?Only time will tell if she has real potential or just one-time spark.

Well she almost took a set off Dechy, a very good pereniall top 100 player. I think that merits her top 100 ranking..

Maybe she needs time to adapt to WTA's higher-levelled game. (and needs $$ to play more tournaments:o )
Being a tennis player in Taiwan can be VERY difficult for training, sponsors, etc. :help:
I think she must have felt the pressure of having to do well 'cause
after the AO, suddenly many Taiwanese corporations become willing to sponsor her. And media went crazy for the winning.
Yet I know both those new sponsors and that media mania won't last long if she doesn't do well in a couple of months, thus the pressure. Typical Taiwanese phenomenon......
Hope she can hang in there though. Make the best use of your resources, YJ:cool:
