Peer. She seems to have a strong will and determination. Her game is good, but it can fall apart at times.

...weapons? Oh my dear Tati is the only player in the top 20 who's playing like half her potential, if she had a coach (like the other girls do) and hadn't sprained her ankle twice the last year she would be top ten already!

What is so special about her game?

Ana is closest to the top 10 now. Just a matter of time that she reach it.
Only 129 points to defend in her next 6 tournaments. Ana is gonna make it!

Why? She can!:worship: (yeah ok, might be hard, but hey, who knows? )

Anyhow, after that, she almost has nothing to defend before the summer, so well, the road is open, take it Tati!

Ok ok. 48 points in Warsaw.
But after Indian Wells and Miami she's playing Amelia Island, Charleston, Berlin and Rome. Which make 6 tournaments. Not to defend there.

Of that list, I'd go with Ivanovic.

I trust it will be Shahar Peer. I don't think Lucie and Tatiana will ever make it to the top 10.

well I love to see Lucie Safarova sneek in the top ten cause she has a very good game and is a lot more mental tough. But any other player deserves it too cause they are all hard working girls obviously.

Look at her schedule in the next couple of months - she's playing everything. Sooner or later she's bound to get the couple of lucky breaks she needs to make it there.

based on what i have seen this year, safarova, then golovin, then ivanovic (if she finally learns how to construct a point properly) then peer

I gave my vote to Ana, with a better schedule, she could have reach the top10 a long time ago

Shahar is improving really fast so I think it's possible

And I hope Lucie will also enter !

Not sure about Tatiana, she's not the less talented but she'll have to win a tournament first

What is so special about her game?
great FH & serve (tho' the latter is a bit inconsistent, anyway she can hit it at 180 km/h with a solid placement), some good timing too and a smart game...well she can hit the ball hard too, she's certaintly not underpowered, but all in all she's a smart player, not just mindlessly bashing the ball...

I trust it will be Shahar Peer. I don't think Lucie and Tatiana will ever make it to the top 10.

ok, let's make a bet...

ok, let's make a bet...

Sure, why not? :D It's not that they are not talented enough, but let's face it, Tati has been overhyped for years now, with almost nothing in terms of results. As for Lucie, she came out of nowhere to rack up some great results in a couple of tournaments. However, it will take A LOT more than this to get to the top. Right now I don't see Henin, Sharapova, Mauresmo, Hingis, Petrova, Kuznetsova or Jankovic out of the top 10. Serena and Venus are bound to get back this year if they commit to tennis again and quite frankly the likes of Vaidisova or Dementieva are better players than Golovin and Safarova, so there really isn't room for them. Who knows what can happen in the next years, but I have my doubts regarding them.

I also want to make a bet with everyone who disagrees that Ana will make the top 10 first. :)

serena is going to make the top ten faster than these girls, after serena i would say ana because she is almost there.tati has never won a title and she has lots of points to defend at miami.shahar is not that consistent she tends to fade sometimes during the hard court season .safarova is the one to watch because she has a really good game better than ana or shahar.i really hope lucie will become a top ten player soon she deserves it.
the top ten will change definitely by wimbledon, there will be new faces in the top ten for sure.
