I'm not telling those girls who're in danger just after RG! But I think It's gonna be tough for Elena Dementieva and Nadia Petrova, because they've got a lot of points to defend. And Dementieva wasn't in best shape recently and Petrova won't even try to defend her Charleston title... The young guns attack the Top 10 like: Vaidisova, Jankovic, Chakvetadze, Ivanovic... and up and coming Golovin and Peer

I'd imagine Vaidisova will drop out with a semi to defend, but she'll be back there quite quickly.

Vaidisova has the RG semi, but Petrova didn't even really get anything from RG. I think Petrova will stick around #6-7.

Dementieva has points to gain on clay this year esp at RG while Petrova and Vaidisova start to defend a huge chunk of their points now, they are more likely to be out than lena

nadia has no points to defend in RG n Wimbie..in fact, she had < 10 points to defend between RG n US Open i think

Dementiewa will be out of Top10 before RG and probably will be back in after RG.

Petrova and Lena will be out by RG, but they will probably find their way back in after RG. Nicole has a SF to defend but she has virtually no points to defend until Strasbourg so any points she earns at IW, Miami, Charleston and any other clay tournaments until Strasbourg are pretty much free.

I don't know. Maybe Vaidisova if she does bad in RG, or Lena if the girls behind her in the ranks do very well.

Dementieva will drop out before RG and will need a great clay season to crawl back in by Wimbledon. The rest should be safe.

none..

Vaidisova

Nicole doesn't have much of anything to defend for a while now. She did not play IW, Miami last year. And had early losses at Charleston and Rome. Plus she's apparently playing Berlin this year (which she did not last year).

the rankings work on a 52 week system, so they tend to balance out.

petrova will probably slip to a dangerous position before roland garros, but will do nothing but gain points for the 3 months that follow.
dementieva has points coming off at indian wells, and will probably slip, but had a weak clay season that will probably allow her to keep her ranking up.
jankovic has absolutely nothing to defend until the week before roland garros, so she'll obviously stay up there until then. after that is when she needs to step her game up.
vaidisova was injured for a while leading up to clay, so she's probably in pretty good position to stay in.

Dementieva, lots of points to defend? I don't even remember her doing much in the clay season last year. Dementieva is fine.. she'll end up being number nine or eight. Petrova may float out but come back in after RG. Vaidisova -- don't see her defending her semifinal. Chakvetadze, Serena, Jankovic will all be in the Top 10 securely by Roland Garros. That means Vaidisova and Petrova fall out.

probably nicole in my opinion.

nadia may drop out after the clay season but i think she'll be back before the USO.
