View Full Version : Just Reminiscing About Mary

I miss Mary more than ever lately. I watched her match against Myskina at the Fed Cup final again today and it was so nice to see her fighting spirit. There's just no other player that compares to Mary.

That point against Justine at the US Open in 2005 where she ran down that lob and hit a perfect backhand down-the-line for a winner.

Eventhough she lost to Venus at Wimbledon in 2005 I thought she played awesome in the second set. The clips from ash wu of that match are amazing especially the one at 4-4 in the tiebreaker.

Just so many incredible memories of Mary. I miss her so much and can't wait for her to return.

Post some of your favorite memories of Mary.

The Myskina Match is one of my fav's too! She's just so.... Mary!!! :worship:

I also like the match against Juju at USO, and the USO1999 Quarter against Davenport (she loses, but she was so close!).

Another great memory: RG1994 against Graf! WAOH!

And what about RG2000!!!! Seles and then Hingis!!! She was just awesome!

And my fav: RG2005 except the final! Especially the match against Lindsay!

But I'm sure next year, at this time, she'll be back in top20, and ready to give so many other great moments of tennis! :bounce:

My Memories of Mary.

Beating Martina at RG2000 I took the day off work to watch that match. For me that was the final. I just knew Mary was going to get the trophy then.

And my best memory of Mary, doing autographs with a smile even when she looses. Not many players do that !!!

Mary I miss you so much !!!

New to this world, I discovered our girl at RG2005, and fell right off the chair.
Life is not always fair--I wish I could have known of her from the start... but better late than never, and I expect more of her to come.

Go, Mary Caroline, go!
