View Full Version : ** Aravane and the American Dream **

Feb 27th, 2007, 04:40 PM
Aravane will be playing 4 big tournaments in the United-States : Indian Wells, Miami, Amelia Island and Charleston.
So this a thread for all the tourney ! ;)

I hope she will have better draws than in the Middle-East, because she really found her game. She will have to win some points because she is starting to have things to defend, but if she plays like today, everything is possible :)
She needs to strengthen her physical conditions but there again, it's much better.

Allez Aravane !!!!!

Feb 27th, 2007, 05:36 PM
Allez Aravane! ;) Hopefully she can find some form. :(

Feb 27th, 2007, 05:40 PM
I hope she will be seeded ... She was supposed to but with her last results, it's not sure :scared: I'm so sick of bad draws !;)

Feb 27th, 2007, 07:19 PM
She fought well against Patty so i hope she'll keep and even up this level!

Good luck in America Aravane!

Feb 27th, 2007, 08:23 PM
I hope some better draw in the USA than the last ones...

I will be in Miami to support her :bounce:

Mar 5th, 2007, 07:50 PM
wow you're so lucky Steffi  ;) Cheer Aravane very loud :bounce: Eventually the good results will come again, why not in this american season?
Allez Aravane!!!! Fais nous un beau tournoi à Indian Wells!!!! :D

Mar 5th, 2007, 08:43 PM
Allez Aravane il est temps de sortir de cette "slump". Tranquille Steffy :ras: :yeah:

Mar 5th, 2007, 11:05 PM
She plays Alicia Molik 1r. That's an OK first rounder I suppose. I don't really know what to expect!

Allez Aravane ;) :bounce:

Mar 5th, 2007, 11:12 PM
Horrible draw, she won't be able to return well the powerful serve of Molik. Alicia has probably too much experience for Aravane.
Why is she so unlucky ? :o

Mar 6th, 2007, 12:35 AM
reminds me of ivanovic's draws when she estarted playing the big events, she'd always get the top players early. molik isn't such a bad draw imo, at least not as bad as it could have been, molik is a good player but isn't fully back to her best yet and seems a bit inconsistent so i still think aravane has a good chance, especially if molik hasn't improved her fitness or backhand since the oz open, if that's the case then with aravane's big shots she should be able to exlpoit those weaknesses of molik's.

Mar 6th, 2007, 07:18 PM
It's not a horrible draw compare to the last 3 draws she had...

Molik is not the same player from 2 years ago... if Aravane returns well the Aussie's serve she has a chance to win I'm sure.

After Medina Guarrigues not a big problem on hard court and I wan't a match against Ana :worship:

Com'on Aravane! Allez !

Mar 7th, 2007, 02:29 AM
Allez Aravane gagne enfin ton 1er match de l'année !!

Mar 9th, 2007, 07:03 AM
Phew fortunately I made one thread for 4 tournaments, because they doesn't last very long  Aravane was outed once again at the first round.
She lost to Molik 62 64 without any possibility to break her. She is returning very poorly right now, only 10 in.
Aravane should get back to the elementary lessons.
See you in Miami.

Happy Birthday Aravane:smooch:

Mar 19th, 2007, 08:25 PM
Aravane will play against a qualifier in Miami. It can be considered both as a good opportunity and as a tricky round as the girl she has to beat will have already played some matches before. I hope she avoids Vakulenko and Paszek.

Her draw :
Nadia Petrova (7) vs BYE
Nathalie Dechy vs Camille Pin
Aravane vs Q
Séverine Brémond (30) vs BYE

It's definitely much better than before. Make a good use of it ! I hope our newly 20 year-old girl will play now more confidently ;)
Bon courage !!!!

Mar 20th, 2007, 11:57 PM
she has a nice draw up to petrova in the 3rd round, she plays bychkova in the first round, i've not really seen much of bychkova some people say she hits a lot of moon balls, others say she has some really hard groundies so i'm not sure how dangerous this match is. but i'm not forgetting that bychkova has made a few good upsets in early rounds of tournaments so hopefully aravane isn't taking the match too lightly.

Mar 22nd, 2007, 12:11 AM
Horrible loss against Bychkova 16 46. She defeated her in Budapest 64 62 last year. She is obviously in a poor form. I hope that clay will give her a new start. I don't know where is the problem but she needs urgently a solution.

Poor Aravane

Mar 31st, 2007, 10:30 PM
Amelia Island : no need to post the draw, she faces Venus Williams in the first round :o :help:
Aravane is the unluckiest player of the year !

Apr 1st, 2007, 01:22 PM
Maybe but it's a good chalenge for her...
She has nothing to lose against Venus she will be motivated at 100%.

Allez Aravane allez!

I added some new pics from Miami on www.aravanerezai.info :)

Apr 1st, 2007, 10:38 PM
Venus Williams !!!
It is not easy but
She is a kind of player that Aravane is playing good with them.
I hope Aravane starts to be a winner...

She has many things but not for lose...
She has all for be a winner...
Thank you for the new pics...

:smooch: Allez Aravane allez:smooch:

Apr 4th, 2007, 09:48 AM
Quick loss for Aravane 16 26. She didn't manage to secure one BP and was broken twice in each set.

That was really a tough draw for her, especially when we know that she is always struggling to find her game in the first round.
She is still learning though.

Last chance in America : Charleston - Tier I.

Apr 8th, 2007, 10:16 AM
In Charleston she will faced a Qualifier.
I hope a bad one lol

It's a chance to take some confidence before the come back in Europe.

Com'on Aravane! Allez!

Apr 9th, 2007, 01:43 PM
Well so far it's looked more like a nightmare than a dream  I hope she can change that at Charleston.Allez Aravane!!!!! Toujours avec toi!!! :D :bounce:

Apr 9th, 2007, 04:29 PM
She is playing this evening (for us in Europe :D ) against Vera Dushevina.

It's time to take some confidence!
Com'on Aravane!

Apr 9th, 2007, 08:51 PM
Still a hope for Aravane ! She won her first match 61 75 against Dushevina ! Really a good fight from her, she was down 2-4 0-40 in the second set but she gave all she had to pick up the win !
We are proud of you :yeah:

I'm very happy to annouce : next round : Vakulenko or Srebotnik. :)

Apr 9th, 2007, 09:02 PM
:bounce: wow so happy for her.I hope she keeps advancing. This could turn out to be the good tournament she needs to bring her confidence back ;)

Allez Aravane!!!!

:smooch: Aravane :smooch:
She was trying so hard and it just start to play better.
I am sure that she will be successful at future.
She showed to all again that Who Aravane is?
Just stay and see her at the next match...
She will be better but step by step...
:smooch: Aravane :smooch:

Apr 11th, 2007, 10:39 PM
That was definitely a good match, great fighting spirit.
I cannot stop thinking that she should have won the first set but she lacks some experience. The essential is that she is playing some good tennis.

Aravane :yeah:

Apr 13th, 2007, 12:28 PM
Yes it was a very good fight :worship: It's a pity that she didn't win the 1st set but it's again a great experience for her.
Now the Europeen Clay :bounce:
Can't wait for the next tournament :lick:

Aravane is back!
