So Saby told you! Great news, isn't it? :bounce:

We took several pics to show Mary our support, we'll post them as soon as possible! A few girls accepted to pose with us on photographs!
If we get any more news, we'll tell you!

But well, even if she can walk, it doesn't mean she'll be fit for RG or Wimbly, or even by the end of the year, but it means She is willing to be fit to play again, and that is great! :worship:

Well I visit a Dutch Krajicek board and in the chat there's this guy who works in tennis and knows a lot of players. He was there when the injury in Linz happened and he brought her flowers the day after in the hotel. He's now saying that if nothing bad happens, she should be able to make RG and she's very driven to come back and win matches. He seems pretty reliable judging from the things he has said before. Hopefully he's right.

He has news from Mary recently? I think the best for Mary is to train and come back on clay because you slide and it's better to begin to play clay tournamants
Hopefully he's right cause I'm going to RG and I would love to see her:hearts:

Actually the sliding is really rough on the knees. Clay is the worst surface to play on after a knee injury, just ask Kim or Lindsay. Grass is the least dangerous surface when it comes to knee injuries.

There's a big article about Mary in french newspaper L'Equipe
Her doctor said she will begin training in 6 to 9 months after the operation. Mary said she will not return to the Tour before the beginning of next year.
She sometimes doubts about a possible return because it's very hard and long. But since three weeks she's hunger and she really wants to play tennis again. And maybe she will be coached by her brother for the last part of her career.

So will she come back?

Yes she will! No more doubt about that! She says she really wants to come
back!

That article is awesome! They talk about the medical center in Vail, about Mary's doubts and pains... She felt really bad when she saw the WTA rankings, and saw she was 180th or so. She says less people from the French tennis family calls her, which disappoints her a bit. But her family is there, with her, even her brother David, who shared the same hospital at a point when he hurt his shoulder.

Mary says that at first, she was waiting for an answer from God on what does she have to do? What will happen? And then, now, she really wants to come back! :fiery:

Here is the article for those who understand french:

Le tennis me manque, je me snes toujours jeune. Et j'ai envie de rejouer...".

Hey guys! sorry I havent been posted a reply here for ages. Anyways I was just in Miami and was able to talk to Aravene and Christian, who still hits with Mary. He told me Mary was on her way to recovery. She was able to hit with him last week. And according to him she looks good. It still a work in Progress but there's a big chance Mary will be back on court before the years end. He even said Mary is so grateful and overwhelmed with all the support that she's getting! I'm so happy to hear this from both Aravene and Christian. So lets just hope and pray that Ms.Mary will be back sooner than expected : ).

I haven't been up here for a while. Yes, finally there some great news up date on Pierce. We all log in here to read up-dated news on Pierce. Really, know one cares about "who wants to speak to who or who's jealous of who".
This site is a tribute to Pierce, and her latest news is the only thing we expect.
I certainly don't want Pierce to spend her time and effort to come up here and ended up reading garbage. Almost the entire 8th pg was embarassingly full of it.
However, people like Jayzbee should post more cuz he always provides great source we wanna read.

Sorry to annoy you, but it's been quite an empty place for a while now, so maybe we wanted to put some soul round here! Sorry if you don't like it!
But if you look at the 7 pages before, you can see that Saby, Mark, John and I have been providing news quite regularly since october. So if you can only focus on the 6 or 7 posts out of 120-130 posts on the topic, well that's your problem! We've done our best to get news and share it, posting pictures and articles in french papers, and even translating it, but you obviously don't appreciate that and can only criticize! perfect! :(

Well this is a forum for Mary fans right. What is wrong with having a little fun here. Why is every one so serious and uptight.

I have to strongle dis-agree with you. I am sure that Mary would love to see we are having fun and not being moronic and down in the dumps.

Are you speaking for everyone here. Please if there is anyone else here agreeing ???

Come on guys what would rather have in here. Just a serious place with news and no fun and news ????

I do not think it is garbage at all:mad: I have been here since day one, and it has always been a nice friendly place where we have had fun. So why change now I have to say.

Sorry that Saby, Stefi and I did embarass you on that page.

Ok I will make any fun here again. And it will be a serious and boring place.
or should i just leave this forum totaly. So you can be serious.

Can anyone believe it? It has been almost 6 months since Mary got injured!! The time seems to have flown by.

The reason I was thinking about it was that I remember when I was watching the match live, one of the British commentators said she saw Eleni Daniilidou sustain a similar injury and that she didn't return for 6 months.

In amongst all of my sobbing and even being ill (probably coincidental that it was the day after the match when I became very unwell) I was thinking "All I have to do is wait until April" to try and make myself feel better.

Now obviously, 6 months was a very optimistic target but the fact that the time seems to have flown by for me and the news of Mary's determination has filled me with confidence about her return. So.. I thought it would be a good idea to lay out the facts about Mary e.g. Where is she? When is she aiming to return? Has she reassessed her retirement plans? etc etc etc!!

So if anyone can help me in laying out the facts about how Mary currently is, I would be very greatful! I have become kind of confused because I am hearing all sorts of stories and I am not sure what to believe!

Thanks very much and I hope Mary will return in style. Obviously, health is the absolute priority in a situation like this, but there is a saying which I think is very fitting in these circumstances..

"What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger"

I'm sure this is particularly true of someone as stong as Mary :)

I'll be happy if she plays again, I don't care when it will be.

Today I watched some of her 1994 Roland Garros run. She only lost 10 games getting to the final, and one of those matches was against Graf.

It is a bit strange we have not heard anything at all from Mary and her camp for a while now with regards to how she is, how her recovery is going...

Sorry but I used a translator that time, i didn't feel like doing translation tonight

Pierce on the good way

Operated in the left knee in the end of the last season, Mary Piece is absent this year on the courts of Auteuil's door, there where she knew the most beautiful success of her career with her victory in 2000. It did not prevent ex-number 3 world from making an appearance noticed on Tuesday in the paths of the tournament with the aim of the next inauguration of ' the Path Mary Pierce '. Mary took advantage of it to give of the news. " My knee is not still 100 %. I do not still run, but operation well happened. I believe that the wound was really grave and it sets of time, at the level of the healing and of the cure. I still have things to be made in tennis. I believe that it is not the moment to turn me to the other thing ". :wavey:

You know, but there is an expression which says: " what does not kill you makes you stronger and it's true. " I hope to return stronger

I agree Mark, but there is that compelling nature that makes you want to know everything that is going on with Mary! No matter what, I'm sure we all wish her much happiness for what ever is happening in her life.
