Looks like it's final.

Justine must be one tough cookie, i imagine her marriage must have been on the rocks the last year and she still manaaged to stay focused enough to make four GS finals. Hopefully she finds happiness and peace really soon.

does anyone know how many slams she had won prior to adding "hardenne" to her name, and how many she won after the marriage?

wonder how the new name will affect the tennis. if at all!! haha

She won all her 5 slams after marrying.
But also, she went to intense training to compete with the other girls who were once over-powering her after her marriage too.

I hated the hyphen last name bit, but it was cool to initial her as a reference. Now I'll miss saying JHH.

Can't say I'll miss Pierre Yves, but he did create a few good laughs with his appearence and wardrobe.

I wonder what will happen if an umpire suddenly calls out "Henin-Hardenne" ;)

"pronounced: zhoo-STEEN EN-ah ar-DEN"

Hopefully, she will bounce back after the divorce. I am sure that all fans of tennis missed her during the AO. It will be great to have her playing again. The surname does not matter. Any way you say it, she is one of the best athletes on tour.

ya, with everyone so used to calling her Henin-Hardenne, i wont be suprised if one or 2 officials, players call her like that.

anyway she would get over this things fast, she is pretty strong person.

She's never won a Grand Slam as Justine Henin.

But she was young, then. She did make a slam final (Wimbledon '01) as "Henin" and took red hot Venus to 3 sets.

Great pic :D The differences in height (and muscle mass :tape: ) are amazing.

My previous fav is this one (Hamburg), used it as an ava for a long time.

If she was such a tough cookie, then she would have been at the Australian Open playing.
She let a man get in the way of a great chance of a 6th slam.

What is your problem? You are always crying!  Said man was there for 5 slams. and btw there was no chance for a 6th slam ;) Rena would have denied it.:p Whatever precipitated the separation must have been extremely serious and devastating for her to immediately request a name change. Guess she can't stand him or his name anywhere near her.:tape:
