interesting R16 match ... Na Li is playing the 2nd indoor WTA tournament of her entire career  after Moscow 2006. I think the surface at Moscow must be different because she said she never played on the Tokyo surface before. Yet she breezed by Osterloh, a qualifier.

Sam is playing good tennis but had a marathon match with Zvonareva as well as doubles. She has the advantage in the serve department but I am not sure if she can play defense against Na's groundstrokes.

Li, 6-4 6-2 or something like this ;)

na will win in 3

but im afraid if sam plays consistent enough, and her serve is on, na will have some trouble specially if she tries to do a winner every time she hits the ball

hopefully Na can win it in straight sets

I wonder if the Sammy fans really think she is going to win, or they are just saying that.
Sammy has a better serve (though Na Li's serve is pretty good imo)
Na Li wins the battle of the ground strokes with pure pace and ability to strike winners everywhere. But Sammy puts a lot of spin on her groundies, she is consistent and has much more safety on her shots. If Na has an off day, she will lose this match. Na needs to play well to win, Sammy is a good player and doesnt give matches away.
I am gonna go with Na Li 7-5 2-6 6-2.

Na li is a bit better than Sam, had better results than Sam in Australia, beating a few better players along the way. Will guess Na Li wins close match.
