I looked on the Sony Ericsson WTA site and saw that last year for winning a slam you got 700 points.

When serena won AO 07, she got 1000 points?

And, Sharapova got 135 points for reach SF of Tokyo in 06, now it's 195points for whoever gets to the SF in 07?

Just something I've wanted to know why there is a big difference, :bounce:

That's what we say in Russian when someone asks the question that's been discussed million times before :wavey:

There is new ranking points system this year on WTA Tour. They significantly increased amount of points for GS, YEC, Tier I and Tier II and just slightly added points for Tier III, IV and ITF events.
