Geez, that is actually one of the matches that Monica played below her par and still made it very competitive, i recall Monica hitting bizzard errors, and being afffected because of the wind that day, not a good day for Monica, she hit a lot of errors.

For Monica it should definetly be 2000 Masters losing effort to Hingis.
What a coincidence of events because exactly 10 years earlier Monica made
Gaby lose in the Masters final in 5 sets, which is the best match i have seen Gaby play and come out as the loser.

That match was full of Venus' forehand errors. Every time Lindsay was in trouble she just hit the ball to Venus' FH and voila!.. won the point. So it was match of high drama but poor quality.

That match was full of unforced errors. There was tons of drama, but the rallies weren't really long, and the errors overshadowed any good play. And, I believe the serving was wretched. Venus has played many better matches than that where she's lost.

Australian Open 2007-Ashley Harkleroad l. Daniela Hanutchova 7-6(8-6),5-7,3-6 being up 5-2 in the 2nd and 3-1 in the third.

Miami 2006-Tatiana Golovin l. Maria Sharapova 1-6,7-6(7-5),3-4 ret. That match inspired me to keep looking out for her. I used her game at a tournament and I won a match and the guy I beat's dad took my bro,me and my mom out to breakfast at the club.

YEC 2004-Serena Williams l. Maria Sharapova 6-4,2-6,4-6. Serena played nice until she injured herself and then went up 4-0 in the third with some of the best plays ive seen.I met her on her exhibition tour a few weeks later and it still hurt but i wished her well at the 2005 AO

Wimbledon 2005-Lindsay Davenport l. Venus Williams 6-4,6-7(4-7),7-9. One of the best matches I have ever seen in my life. Both played amazing until Lindsay injured her back and then could barely move. Again, one of the greatest ever.
