Jan 16th, 2007, 06:51 AM

Jan 16th, 2007, 06:52 AM

it was just a barrage from the start

Jan 16th, 2007, 06:52 AM

Maria Croft
Jan 16th, 2007, 06:53 AM

Jan 16th, 2007, 06:53 AM

Vasilisa   poor girl
She has talent :)

Jan 16th, 2007, 06:53 AM
i can see promsing things from Vasilisa she hits the ball really well but when kim plays that good no one has a chance

Jan 16th, 2007, 06:53 AM
Well done Kimmie!!!! You will be missed at the Aussie Open next year.

Jan 16th, 2007, 06:54 AM
Vasilisa :( :bigcry:

Jan 16th, 2007, 06:55 AM
Very impressive from Clijsters
Disappointing for Bardina

Jan 16th, 2007, 06:55 AM
bardina's outfit  but poor girl was overhitting way too often

well done kim :yeah: and keep improving ;)

Jan 16th, 2007, 06:56 AM
Kimmie :worship:  too bad ESPN2 didn't show this thrashing :o

Jan 16th, 2007, 06:57 AM
Good perfomance Kim . :bounce:

Poor Vasilisa

Jan 16th, 2007, 06:57 AM
:worship: Come on Kim!

To bad for Bardina. From what I saw she looks like she has potential.

Jan 16th, 2007, 06:57 AM
I expected a 62 61 score but a double bagel is ofcourse very nice too.
Poor Bardina. I only saw the last point but she has been moving up the rankings pretty swiftly so she'll be allright.
I really hope she takes the title.

Jan 16th, 2007, 06:57 AM
Well done Kimmie

Jan 16th, 2007, 06:58 AM
I'll post here since the title is more forgiving. Hopefully the mods won't merge the other one with that nasty headline.

Perhaps it was difficult for Vasya to adjust with the pace of a Q compared to a world's top player, but she took things in stride out there for the most part and, hey, won a challenge! :D

She hit some real good shots, but mostly it was errors one or two shots into the rally. :help:

Kim, on the other hand, kept on crushing the ball with precision and didn't let Bardina get into any kind of a rhythm which is what you want to do playing someone who is inexperienced on this kind of stage.

Great tennis from Kim and nice smile, Vasya. :clap2: :hearts:

Jan 16th, 2007, 07:01 AM
this is the start of things to come

Jan 16th, 2007, 07:04 AM
When Kim said she was 'in the zone' today, she wasn't kidding. :speakles:
Understatement of the year, so far.

Jan 16th, 2007, 07:09 AM
With Maria spent in day1 and Clijsters in this kind of form, Clijsters is going to win the AO for sure.
She beat a player who played in the finals of a tournament a couple of days ago 6-0 6-0.
If that doesn't show that you are in good form and one of the contenders for the title, I really don't know what will.

Jan 16th, 2007, 07:10 AM
OMG Kim just love bagelling people in the first round of a slam

Jan 16th, 2007, 07:12 AM

What a demolition!!

Keep ripping the ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jan 16th, 2007, 07:14 AM
It was long since Kim someone bagel :)

She is in great shape and hope she will win Aussie Open :yeah:

Jan 16th, 2007, 08:11 AM

Jan 16th, 2007, 08:53 AM
:rocker2: KIM!!!

Jan 16th, 2007, 08:57 AM
Poor Vasilisa :sobbing:

She's a really good, talented girl who would have won matches against a lot of players in this draw

Jan 16th, 2007, 08:58 AM
Vasi

Jan 16th, 2007, 09:08 AM

Jan 16th, 2007, 10:11 AM
Total demolishion from Kim and Bardina played a good match. I'll be suprised if she doesn't win the whole thing.

Jan 16th, 2007, 10:25 AM
well you might be surprised
i mean Kim love to surprise us all :o

Jan 16th, 2007, 12:45 PM
Kim COME ON!!!!!

now step it up for ur next match!

Jan 16th, 2007, 01:02 PM
Kim should be fresh for this tournament now. I was worried she had played too much coming in, but she had 3 days off, and now she had a 45 minute match and has another day off. This sets her up well for the rest of the tournament.

Jan 16th, 2007, 05:48 PM
well done!

Jan 16th, 2007, 06:17 PM
I fell asleep during the first set... imagined Lisa to do a bit better. She hardly got any points in the games I saw, not only no games. Brutal.

I really wonder where she got that dress. Somebody might have made it for her. In that case it was really sweet of her to wear it.

Jan 16th, 2007, 07:43 PM
whoa kim :worship:  :yeah:
she's on a mission

poor vasi though
nice to see her smiling

i think this is Kim's 5th career double-bagel in slams

UO 2000: bt Marrero 6-0 6-0
AO 2002: bt Mandula 6-0 6-0
AO 2003: bt Camerin 6-0 6-0
Wimbledon 2003: bt Neffa-De Los Rios 6-0 6-0

Jan 16th, 2007, 08:33 PM
Kim:D :worship: keep going

Jan 16th, 2007, 08:37 PM

Good job Kim :yeah:

Jan 16th, 2007, 09:06 PM
Well done Kim :bounce: :woohoo:

Jan 16th, 2007, 09:15 PM
Very very good stuff from CLIJSTERS... feel for BARDINA

Jan 16th, 2007, 09:35 PM
is it true that bardina only made 2!!!! points on her serve? and 0 on her second serve?

Jan 16th, 2007, 09:48 PM
it sucks that she's retiring this year after seeing a result like this.

Jan 16th, 2007, 10:49 PM
Kim! :D

Jan 16th, 2007, 10:55 PM
Pfffffff

Wasilisa didn't deserve it :sobbing:

Jan 16th, 2007, 11:25 PM
Ouch Vasilisa :help:

Congrats Kim

Jan 16th, 2007, 11:26 PM
Bardina will be fine. She just made a final in Hobart, winning through qualies, then flew to Melbourne.
She was exhausted, and would have lost to much worse players than Kim.
She got to play on RLA. It was a good experience for her.
Now she can rest up, and have a strong year, she's 19.

Jan 16th, 2007, 11:32 PM
Kim was INCREDIBLE she played better than any of her matches in Sydney and has announced herself as the seriouis contender and one to beat.. GO KIM.. but honestly Bardina looked the worst of any tennis player i have ever seen, her dress was HORRIBLE

Jan 16th, 2007, 11:32 PM
Brilliant win Kim!!
Tough loss vasilisa.

Jan 16th, 2007, 11:40 PM
Kimmie :bounce: :yeah: :woohoo:
