Did Graf miss chances in Wimbledon doubles/mixed with John&Martina? [Archive]

We all know Graf cancelled a doubles appearance with Martina Navratilova the last minute once in Wimbledon and in her final year she had injury troubles that caused her preference for a final appearance in singles apart from that mixed semis she gave away with John McEnroe

So, let me ask you. I miss this image of Graf lifting a mixed trophy or playing in her prime together with Martina in doubles as so many good mates do nowadays like Sveta+Amelie.

Do you think this would have a added a more funny image of Graf apart from the girl so keen on perfect singles appearances?

I don't think Steffi and Martina were "mates". Hoever, it would have been great to see them playing doubles together - just once. Even now they woujld probably do well - if Steffi's fitness is anything like Martina's.
