She seems to be in great form at the moment, perhaps she can make top 100 again.

When Stosur loses, it's lack of talent.
when Misa does, it's lack of form.

What's been happening with Misa?

I haven't been paying much attention to be honest, but it's like every time I check how she's doing, she's lost a match. Has she been injured or something? Or just a poor patch?

Sammy lacks talent? :o

Yeah, imo she does.
Well, at least in singles.
I won't ever bash her doubles performance of course.

But she does not have what it takes to go far in singles.
And she never does well in slams other than the Oz Open.
Never made is past round 2.
While in Australia she reached a 3rd and 4th round.

She has no form whatsoever. When she is on, she can beat a lot of players, but she is hardly ever on.

Okay, true. Might have been a tad harsh ;).
There is some talent there.
But she might as well stick to doubles anyhow.

Stick to doubles as in not play singles? Or play both?

Play less singles than doubles.
But if she still believes that she can become big in singles,
then who am I to tell her what to do?
It's not like she's 30 something. She's only 22 (nearly 23)
So it's not hopeless of course.

I just saw in TBE's wta ranks thread that Anne will move up to 109!!!

Winning 15-20 little points to top 100 that's makeable in the next weeks! :)

Well Alicia didn't really hit her straps until her mid 20's. And up to then her ranking wasn't nearly as good as Sam's is now. They both play similar games, so that's the basis of my hope.

OUCH!

Anne :woohoo: :yeah: I wondered why she'd kept on after the disappointing end of 2006, but wins like this give hope for Top 100 again. Top 50 is out of the question, but it's results like these which give me hope Anne can do the odd good result now and again.

I hope I will see highlights of her and Serena. Win a set! :D

Kremer does not have a dangerous game, but its like many other girls, hard hitting baseliner... Kremer has something that Krajicek doesnt... years of experience on the tour. Anne is probably in better shape and has hit some form in the qualies.... I am happy she won. Her game is quite efficient... technichaly sound with good groundies, cat flatten out nicely to attack.

Terrific win for Anne :hearts:

So happy to see her get through to the 2nd round, it could have been easy for a veteran like Anne who has had a good solid career retire by now after a couple of years struggling with injuries and inconsistent results. Instead she's kept at it, and she's almost back in the top 100 again which is great to see. Very sweet woman, hopefully she can maintain her good form here and do some damage to Serena with her consistency ;)

she's also ranked 25 in the world  strange advice to suggest that a player who is only 22/23 and has been steadily improving and moving up the rankings every year should stop being concerned with singles  I understand that Krajicek inexplicably horrible form must be messing with your mind though :)

If anything Stosur will be playing less doubles this year so she can put more focus on singles.

I got a bad rep from Rtael for saying this:

Okay, true. Might have been a tad harsh ;).

But she might as well stick to doubles anyhow.

and his comment was:
:) Does Krajicek make you wet "down there"?
