In the first set? Since she was able to play three sets...doesn't look like she was affected too much. Bad luck here though. I didn't think she would push Katarina this far. It was a good chance for her to get her first main draw win.

she was hitting winners from everywhere after the trainer came out in the first set and early in the second... she just rushed and went for winners too early during points when srebotnik found her rhythm... well done casey though she proved she could match it with top players but fell short in the end

that was really close, i would have expected srebotnik to breeze it

Well, knowing Kata's history at the AO, it's a great sign she has actually won this :yeah:

Kata should beat Benesova next, but Nicole in 3R will be tough.

A win is a win. I don't have high expectations for the rest of the tournament though.

I was at the match, Dellaqua was dicating the play for the first set and a bit, she was hitting powerful shots from everywhere, then srebotnik got back with a couple of games and it really got casey rattled and ended up losing about 7 striaght games or something. It was close for the rest of the match with a dodgy call on GP at 5-6 for Casey and sadly katernia took the enxt two points.
