Well done Shuai ! A long match win yesterday and a score like this will give her some confidence at the beginning of the year :D She saved 12 BPs today :eek: (Monique was only 1/13 on BP conversions). She is fighting every game, and this is really good :D

Many opportunities lost for Monique today :( :( That is a disgraceful BP conversion rate, but that's why she is ranked 240 and Peng is a top 50 player.
Good effort though from Monique, but the better player won. The match went for 90 minutes!!

Perry is ranked and seeded a bit higher than Peng, but I've not been impressed seeing Perry play live.

I'm gonna actually go out on a limb and pick Perry to win in 2 tight sets. I like both players, but I think Perry might just take the opportunities that Monique was unable to take advantage of today. Of course, that's assuming Perry makes it - so I've probably jinxed her now and she'll lose her second round.
