your stroke doesn't look too bad. my only advice is on your backswing, instead of taking it straight down, do like a little loop and set your racquet higher before you swing. It gives you more momentum. Serena's forehand or Lindsay's forehand are some pretty good examples of what I mean.

Yes your backswing is pretty short, you might wanna take your raquet back a little further for more power. Apart from that it looks good.

I made additional comments on the stroke in the tennis4you forum. I do not mind the backswing so much. The footwork and the weight transfer could use some work. I have seen people with similar backswings smack the hell out of the ball. But I agree, it couldn't hurt to take the racquet back a little further. I bet you do great at returning fast serves or fast hit shots to you though with that short of a backswing.

I agree about the footwork, you could probably get more power if you turn more and thus get more power from the transfer of weight. To me, the footwork and mobility looked like a larger issue than the forehand though.
