Well, off the top of my head: French Open 1999. Both men's and women's tournaments.

Quite possibly the worst Grand Slam in the history of tennis. Also definitely the least competitive. So poor...

The 1999 US Open was definitely among the greatest ones I've seen, SO many awesome matches, especially from the quarters;)! The 2001 Australian Open was another great one (even though both had sad endings for me), and finally the 2005 US Open:worship:! I also enjoyed the 2000 and 2001 US Opens:)

1999 Australian Open had Hingis, Davenport, Graf, Seles, Sanchez-Vicario, Serena, Venus, Novotna, Pierce, Martinez, Mauresmo, Kournikova, Testud, Coetzer, Dokic in the draw. A great tournament.

1999 US Open was an amazing tournament as well as the 2001 Australian Open.

And the 2002 Roland Garros was a joke. There was no one besides Serena, Venus, and Jennifer. Monica, Justine, and Kim were injured. Martina and Lindsay withdrew. Mary was fat and coming back from injury. I mean, Clarisa Fernandez was in the semifinals. Enough said.

lots of drama and most of them were really great quality :DPierce d Vakulenko in the 2nd round (4-6 7-6 9-7) was also one of the best matches I've ever seen in person. Sadly it was played on court 3 so I don't think many got to see it. Hopefully that will happen less often in the future with Wimbledon Live etc.

Both of them played very well (Vakulenko's serve especially was really on) and the match was very tense. There was a really good atmosphere around the court too.

RG 2004, along with AO 2006 was a joke. Such a bad tournament, so many poor matches in both those slams. Easily tied as worst Slam.

Wimby 2005 was quite possibly one of the best slams ever, as well as US Open 1999, so many players in good form at that tournament.

Wimbledon 2005 was just insane. It was one of those small periods in time where everyone showed up. Great matches from start to finish too.

Roland Garros 1999 was fantastic too.
And I'm bias to Wimbledon 1999, for obvious reasons.

Wimbledon 2005: Venus wins!!!! Against ALL odds.

Playing fantastic.

I am mainly a Serena fan, but Venus performance vs Maria and Lindsay was just magnificant!!

Lindsay played well also, and I felt bad for her.

I hope she can get her groove back and perform as well in 2007.

Easy: Wimby 2004.

Serena (My favorite player) thought she had the slam in the bag.
However, Maria had different plans and destroyed her in two rather quick sets.

Never count your slams until you earn them!!

Did Serena ever say that she thought she had Wimbledon 2004 in the bag  . I thought that she said that she put a lot of pressure on herself to win.

Roland Garros 2004:

Indeed, Australian Open 2006 was so much more competitive...

Appalling comparison given that:

Mauresmo also won the Wimbledon 2006 tournament, which was incredibly tough.

Myskina couldn't win a competitive Grand Slam in a million years, she just doesn't have the class: she is another fade into the background Russian, get over it.

:weirdo:. The title should be changed to "Your Favourite Grand Slam Ever!".

Anywho, great slams have been few and far between in recent years. Wimbledon 2005 was the best one in a long, long time. Also:

FO 1999.
USO 1999.
USO 2001.
AO 2001.
