Jie will not "stun sania easily" LOL, trust me. Not when Mirza is playing like this. Jie might win the match, but if she does, I really doubt it will be easy. I personally think Mirza's gonna take that match anyway.

Cmon Sania!

Mirza was playing very well. Na was spraying the ball everywhere.

Jie Zheng plays nothing like Na Li though. Jie will be a tougher opponent for Sania imo.

sania looked tired and sluggish but still played good. her footwork and speed were not as good as they were during start of these games. but it is expected if you play 2-3 matches everyday. na played bad and lost it but sania won some very good points. best of luck for finals sania! zheng can beat her if sania gets tired. i hope sania will have enough energy for finals since she has to play a mixed doubles match too.

Not really. It shows one more time how Mirza is grossly underrated. I always knew she had it in her, and at long last she's starting to show just how talented she is. I don't think my prediction on her future prospects in another thread will go worng now.

This is what Na had to say, so i'm not so sure that she played so badly:
LI said, “She played really well and there was nothing I could do about it. I felt as though the ball was coming off my racket really well. She just played really, really well. She deserved to win."

i dont mind na li

but tell her to get some perspective on this fans thing

variety is always good.....i dont want fans to be like the ones in wimbledon....neither do i want fans that are bordering hatred...like in the french open

im not saying that these fans are perfect......but there is always room for new fans they bring something new to the game

I think we need to accept the reality, and Na Li is correct in that respect. I mean, there is nothing wrong with a vocal crowd and supporting someone, but not during rallies or 1st service faults please. But, I guess, things are improving for sure and I believe in a couple of years they'll know at when they should clap.

but its not a tournament like grand slams where players are playing for themselves but its like davis cup and fed cup where you should expect such involvement of crowds. shame if chinese unlike indians can not come to doha to support their country.

Nothing wrong in supporting a player or rather a country, and nothing wrong in a boisterous crowd too. The issue is whether it knows when to behave and when to shout. When someone shouts on the middle of a rally, it affects both the players, not just Sania's opponent. I remember, in a match at Dubai (vs Hingis) Sania confused an out-call made by one in the crowd with the chair umpire and lost the point. Things like these should be avoided, that was my point.

Great win, Sania. She has won nine matches in a row, starting from the Hopman cup. She is in her form, and should be confident after recording sucessive victories. The only way she can lose the final is if she is tired after playing 2-3 matches for each of the last 4 days. Sania on her best would be better than her opponent on her best.
