Is the Duchess ready to dance?

The Duchess of York could be donning her dancing shoes to star in the US version of Strictly Come Dancing.
Fergie, the former wife of Prince Andrew, is already a hit across the pond and has now made it clear she wants to star in the Los Angeles-based show, Dancing With The Stars.
'Fergie will add a touch of class to the proceedings,' the show's producer Conrad Green told the paper.

'The fans will be waiting to see if she falls for her dance partner. Everyone loves a royal romance and her presence will bring dazzling ratings.
'We like having a mixture and we've not had a duchess,' he added.
The 47-year-old could be up against former Wimbledon tennis star Chris Evert, 51, who is reportedly also in talks with US network ABC.
Meanwhile, in the UK, the Prime Minister's wife Cherie Blair, is apparently a big fan of Strictly Come Dancing.
Host Tess Daly was quoted saying: 'She loves our show and wants to get all the backstage gossip. She knows all about the dances. I was gobsmacked and we're grateful that she watches.'
Could Cherie be vying for a place in next year's show? Surely not.

I've only seen bits and pieces of the show, but if Chris decides to dance, I'll definitely watch it.

She's an American Icon and will likely get a warm ovation.

Wouldn't be too surprised if Martina isn't far behind ;)

Martina would insist on a female partner, and then try to have the show cancelled after they say no. ;)

That's so funny. They actually did a skit of something similar when Chris Evert hosted Saturday Night Live. It was hellah funny. Everything that Chris did, Martina followed her and did it better.

Hmm... maybe she'll earn some of that money back of which she was ordered to pay to her ex husband.

I was wondering when someone would bring this up. :rolls:

I think it's just rediculous that a man like himself should get something like 7million dollars for nothing. She worked her ass off to get every penny of that. She's got the kids, what need would he have for all that money? I think he's just a gold-digger of sorts.

I think dance as good as she gracefully played.

Dancing with Stars cannot be more strenuous than the 50 stroke rallies Chrissy used to battle on clay.

Evert in straight sets!;)

..i hope she won't...maybe 'cause in italy the "star" of the show are "fallen stars"! so if it's so even in usa i think she doesn't need it!
but, of course she'll be able to face the hard work: she's reaaaally in good shape

This show gets good ratings. Having a tennis player on would be good for tennis.
McEnroe should do it.
