Ah bad timing! Yeh i havent decided for sure if ill go to any nights but it makes me feel better knowing i can get picked up from the station cos that was the bit i didnt like last yr sometimes hanging around seven hills for like 30 mins on my own waiting for a taxi or the non existent buses.

I'll probably be going the first 4 days or so. The rest of the week is probably contingent on how certain players do.

And yeah, good idea in regards to getting a lift from the station... but is there even a station close to the Hills? Parramatta would be closest wouldn't it?

SM
Dec 21st, 2006, 01:41 PM
I WILL probably for for 1 or 2 days..probably qtr final stage..i get free corporate tix for whatever days i wanna go off a mate

i just want to see hingis live!!!!!!!:worship:

louisa2k2
Dec 23rd, 2006, 12:23 AM
Seven Hills is the closest and you can get a bus that takes abt 15-20 minutes to where i live but they pretty much dont show up after 7.45pm from my experience.

you can also get a bus from parramatta but i doubt it runs late as well knowing westbus. I so need to learn to drive. I havent booked any evening tickets yet so ill see.

I saw hingis play last year so this year im hoping to see her win a match or 2.

Dec 23rd, 2006, 04:32 AM
Seven HILLS - of course!

I finally got to my P plates this year, so there hopefully won't be any more of that sitting at Blacktown station waiting for my mum or dad hoping I don't get rolled.

And yeah, I'm pretty sure Martina won't be drawing Justine first round this time.

Oh please, you guys have nothing :p

I get off at Blacktown because that's where my tennis buddies get off at, and because it's safer than the station that is actually closest to me - Mt Druitt :scared: (actually it's the same distance as St Marys, but getting off there would be like going past my home to go back in that direction by car)

louisa2k2
Dec 23rd, 2006, 11:32 AM
Cool I didnt know that you were out in this direction. My housemates help with a hillsong extension service at st.Marys I went up there one time to help with street teams.

Blacktown is one of those areas people tell me not to hang out in like redfern. So probably a good thing that your not hanging around there.

I stayed with some friends in punchbowl nr bankstown one year when i was going to hillsong conference so i was walking down the road on my own at like midnight but i was blissfully unaware of any danger until after wen ppl told me it wasnt a good idea.

Dec 23rd, 2006, 12:01 PM
Redfern - that's the other station I use (for uni) :p

But yeah, I'm surprised there are so many Aussies, and especially surprised that so many of them are from Western Sydney

LMFAO!

All train stations pass Parramatta station were terrible from my experience! :o I went to Quakers Hill for a party and left the party at like 11pm. I was waiting for the train coming at Quakers Hill for like an hour! It makes me wish I were stay in the party for a little longer!

Thankfully, the closest station from where I live would be Granville or Guildford  Both stations are great! ;)

Martian Stacey
Dec 30th, 2006, 07:54 AM
Penrith isn't that bad... although you do get some weird types hanging around sometimes :tape: But at least i've never been scared to be around there, unlike some other stations.

Dec 30th, 2006, 08:09 AM
Granville is good cause it has the two lines and most trains stop there going from both lines in both directions . . . i live around parra and catch trains alot

Oh and as usual i am again working there as a Tech offical at the medibank - ill be there each day except for Sunday

Sam was unbelieveable, Martina and Jelena played the best women's match I've been a live witness of, and Elena came back from the dead, when all my friends left and encouraged me to give up hope at 5-3 down in the second.

Plus Sam is such a sweet girl. Really, she impresses me so much with the way she handles fans

Yeah, today was awesome in Centre Court. Sam played so well. There was only one person going for Vera out of the whole stadium. Every single break the 'smash em sam' girls were getting the whole crowd to cheer for her. It was so good

Jan 11th, 2007, 04:55 AM
I would've thought last night would have been a full house.

I might've attended if I'd known there were tickets (and tickets near the front) still available. Though both matches turned out fairly anticlimactic.

The women's final would be pretty good I reckon. No matter who wins out of Nikki and Jelena. But would tickets be available? I went to the last day in 2003, and got to watch all 4 finals due to rain the previous day. I pre-ordered them about 2 weeks before the event though, and we were in the 3 level seats.

I'm off to tomorrow's final. I'll probably be cheering for Kim but would also be happy to see Jelena win.

And heh, my sister's just happy that she doesn't have to watch Pratt play in the doubles final.
