Freddy was certainly one of the best vocallists out there. Queen made a lot of great songs. I used to be crazy about this band.

There are many songs I like by Quenn, mainly the old stuff, for example - Save Me, Bohemian Rhapsody, Spread Your Wings, Tie Your Mother Down, Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, Seven Seas Of Rhye, but also later songs like Innuendo, One Vision, The Show Must Go On, Made In Heaven, Headlong or You Don't Fool Me. I was growing up with them. Hail Freddie, you were magnificent!!!

I wasn't really a fan, but I did like his personality, and especially the fact that he was an unashamed big camp old dear in the middle of sweaty rock world. Those videos for 'Radio gaga' and 'I Want to Break Free' in particular still make me smile.

I remember the morning he died, my Mum woke me up, with tears streaming down her face, saying "he's dead!". I thought it was a family member! (she was a big fan, I went back to sleep)

I must admit a fondness for Queen's early stuff. There's a lot of inspired lunacy in there. :worship: :D

I don't love Queen.

Am I allowed to say that?

And McFly's take on Don't Stop Me Now has wrecked it.

Who Wants To Live Forever

The Show Must Go On

You Don't Fool Me

And offcourse Bohemian Rhapsody, who is the no.1 in the Dutch top 2000 again :woohoo: :)

I used to go to a lot of concerts back in the 70s and early 80s, and it's one of my major regrets not having had the great pleasure of seeing Freddie Mercury live. I remember having the "Killer Queen" 45rpm when it first came out, and then Bohemian Rhapsody. Fifteen years? We are getting older...

You are missed, Freddie.
