Good question Sal. The country where you can get the best FOOD.

I think America would pretty much win the poll for best food culture.

I can go pretty much anywhere and get hte best food if I am willing to pay. Italy and China I would say have the best culinary culture. The French stole their cuisine from the Italians :D

Italian food is just exquisite. A variety of meats cooked differently, a variety of pastas with different sauces and spices, many of which are cream based. Lots of variety in Italian cuisine, it's my favorite. If its executed well, its always delicious.

China should definitely be mentioned in this poll, chinese food is so fucking good when youre in the mood for it. YUMMMMMMM.

American food can be really, really, really delicious if you go to high quality restaurants. I personally love even the middle of the line restaurants that serve a greasy burger and some fries... or chicken wraps and stuff. American food is simple and not too exotic, which is what I'm in the mood for sometimes. And of course, despite it being unhealthy as hell, fast food is just pure heaven.

Other cuisine I love: Greek, Lebanese, French (some), Mexican, Indian, Japanese... Hmmmm. I guess I'm just a fatty. Yay.

:tape: Call me stupid all you want, but the fact is that you're wrongfully assuming that the cuisine of a country as large and populous as China can be summed up for you in a nutshell. If you were as serious as you claimed and bothered to check the link I provided for you, you'd notice that there is NO possible way anyone could've summed up the whole of Chinese cuisine in a few sentences, let alone a nutshell.
I didnt call you stupid, I called your arrogance stupid, since youre just too good for people like me, clearly. Also, yes, you could have summed that up in a nutshell or in a few sentences. I wasnt not looking for a full list of dishes listed on every menu in China and their mannerisms on how they eat, I was just asking what their general cuisine was like.

Also, if you're going to cast aspersions on another country and what the people there eat while admitting outright that you have no idea if your misconceptions are accurate or not, it doesn't really work when you try to be a martyr after someone calls you out on what you said.
Cast aspersions? I didnt cast any aspersions, I just said what I heard in hopes that someone would respond to me either confirming what I said was true or telling me I'm wrong and correcting me. Instead you felt the need to simply state how uninformed I am, following it up with no explanation, simply a giggle, an arrogant comment, and a wikipedia article.

Again, youre just too intelligent to waste your time on me anyway. Really, you might as well just ignore this post.

Since American food is food from everywhere, I'll pick that.

But, I'd say Mexico right after that.
Mexican food, not just tacos and burritos, is wonderful.

Well, then it's pretty clear that you are either not able or not willing to read properly, since the point I'd made (and the point of the article I referred you to) is that there is no such thing as "general cuisine" when it comes to Chinese food. That would be like me telling you to tell me what the cuisine of the whole of Europe is like "in a nutshell," when there are many different countries, regions, cooking traditions, and types of native plants.
From what I read, it does seem like quite a diverse cuisine, yes. However the fact remains that you could have summed up the important points in a few sentences, a nutshell doesnt necessarily have to like, a one word answer. The Europe comparison was bogus seeing as I'm discussing with you the cuisine of the country of China, not an entire continent (granted there are differences in different parts of China, but GENERALLY it could be summed up. I wasnt looking for details).

Plus it's disingenuous for you to make generalizations about something in a joking manner and then to try and say that you were serious about wanting to learn more information. If you were sincere about wanting more info I find it highly amusing that you complain about the fact that I pointed you to a fairly good, detailed resource on the subject.
It's funny how you replied to me so seriously in your response to my initial post when you knew I was at least partially kidding about it. It's not as if I truly believe thats all they eat in China (especially the dog part), for the thousandth time, I only posted what I had HEARD about it. In your position the correct thing to do would have been to say "that's not true at all, check out this site since I dont feel like explaining it" and laughed about it. Its a comment that deserved to be laughed at, Ill admit that. But you chose to be an obnoxious ass about it, but thats just you. And I said I was serious about wanting to learn more about the cuisine not in my initial post, but after you obnoxiously brushed me off cause you were too good for me (which weve already covered).

Oh and for the record, Im not complaining about the fact that you gave me a detailed website about the cuisine, I'm complaining about the fact that youre arrogant and obnoxious and couldve corrected me in a less condescending manner.
