Who's your favorite X-Man?

I have become increasingly obsessed with X-Men, especially after playing X-Men Legends on PS2 and consequently X-Men Legends 2. I have to know who of the X-Men is your favorite?

Rogue. I've always had a massive crush on Rogue:drool:. So pissed that her character is so disgusting and underdeveloped in the movies!

me too!! I think Storm's powers are more original because there are plenty of telekinetic mutants, but she can control the weather and she possessed something similar to telekinesis (she can affect the wind and pick up things). The only reason I chose Jean is because she is soo powerful.

I always liked Rogue in the cartoons, but the films made her kinda sucky!

From the actual cartoons, comics & Marvel/Capcom games, I'd go Rogue.

From the film Jean.

Unless you don't consider Scarlet Witch an "X-Man", then I'd replace her with Polaris.

#1. Gambit's been a personal favorite of mine from day one- playboy, hustler, con-man, master thief, and mysterious. The only fictional character I've fantasized about...
http://members.aol.com/thefightingfury/whoclix/storm.gif
#2. Storm- I used to read Giant Size Xmen way back in the day and Ororo was the characters that really got me hooked into the comic.
http://xmen.ugo.com/images/galleries/xmen_psylocke_girlfriends/7_180.jpg
#3. Sage- I got into her character when I started reading Xtreme Xmen. She's basically a new character although her orgins go back to the Helfire Club days (80's). She's a telepath with only limited psych-powers, and has the power to detect other mutants, as well as jump start and mutate other mutants powers. She also has total recall because her mind is like that of a high tech computer.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/f/fa/Psylocke_benes.jpg/448px-Psylocke_benes.jpg
#4. Psylocke- she's total bad ass. I was bumbed when they killed her and even more bumbed when I heard she was coming back from the dead- I hate that! Anywho, she and Jean Grey had some friction in the past, I liked that. Not to mention her powers are pretty kick-ass. She powerful telepath, who uses her psych power to form a psychic blade extending from her hand. She can also teleport through shadows.

#5. Emma Frost! Nothing else to say! (high order telepath, with diamond armored skin)

#6. Love me some Jean, too bad she's dead in the comic world...
http://www.dustcatchers.com/ebayhp/lgbishop.jpg
#7. Bishop- my all time favorite "Blast from the Past" mutant.
http://www.marvel.com/universe3zx/images/c/cb/StepfordCuckoos3-Mayhew.jpg
#8 The Stepford Cuckoos- they share a unique bond that allows them to combine their individual telepathic powers to form a powerful "supermind." They were always a bit spooky, too bad they had to kill em' off. I think there are two more sisters out there somewhere, not sure.
http://unattain.populli.net/bios/un_images/nightcrawler.jpg
#9. Nightcrawler- All time favorite blue guy!
http://www.stumblebumstudios.com/images/features/firestar.jpg
#10. Firestar- She was only part of the xmen for a brief time, but since she was she's technically an xmen, she counts. I think she's most known from the show Spiderman & His Amazing Friends back in the 80's. That's when I fell in love with the character.

If there's anything you need to know about the marvel characters or xmen this is a pretty cool site- not suer how up to date it is though: http://www.mutanthigh.com/a.html

Another person had noted that it's the women in the xmen universe that rock and the funny thing about it is that I hadn't noticed that most of my favorite characters are the ladies. It turns out that 7 out of my favorite 10 are female. I guess in a way Storm and other characters like Wonder Woman help to pave the way. I only wished the movies would have done a better job showcasing the ladies. Up until the last Xmen movie, I didn't even recognize the weak, underwhelming Storm they had. Compared to comics, and all the cartoons portrails of her character the movie version was the weakest of em' all. They did a pretty decent job with Jean, but poor Rogue, she got shafted too. Hopefully the xmen movie franchise will continue on and hopefully gambit and a few of my other ladies will make the cut.

In the comics pretty much all the famles (bar Jubilee who's powers are immensely lame) kick ass. On the male side, I always thought Gambit was cool, and the Professor just because he was sort of the leader.

In terms of the movies, Ice Man was pretty cool. And Kitty McPride was cute.
And I guess Wolverine is good because he's Hugh Jackman. And also the Beast, because he's Kelsey Grammar

If it can be anyone form the series I'd pick Magneto, he's cool  But if I have to pick an actual X-Man then I pick Cyclops, he was always my favourite in the cartoon tv series :) Storm is also quite cool. Oh and Mystique rockz! :yeah:

My least favourites (in fact I actually despise them :tape: ) are Jean Grey (unless she's the phoenix) and Wolverine (I never understood why he was so popular  ) I also hated Jubilee in the cartoon cos she never did anything except make little firework sparks ;)

My thoughts exactly!

And IMO, Halle baerry was a terrible
choice for this role! Easy to see that
she simply doesn't have the presence
of "Storm".

Maybe it was just me, but I always thought
Iman would've been a far better choice than
Halle Berry. Iman has the looks, voice, and
presence.

Actually Jubilee in the comics has the potential to be one of the most powerful muntants plus she is hott.;)

http://www.wolverineandjubilee.com/gallery/jubilee/Images/92.jpg

Jubilee once had the mutant power to generate bright bursts of energy from her fingertips. She referred to these globules as fireworks. The globules obeyed her mental control, travelling where she directed them, arranging themselves in balls, streamers, and other shapes, and exploding when she wished. The strength of the energy could range from a multitude of colorful sparkles capable of temporarily blinding a person to a powerful detonation capable of smashing objects and destroying property, or a precision burst inside a human's brain simulating the effects of a massive stroke. Jubilee could absorb the fireworks back into her own body without harm.

A point of interest about Jubilee's powers is that she often refers to them as Pafs. Considering that the word 'Paf' appears in many instances as an fx sound when drawn with her powers, it is believed to be the sound that her energy bursts create, much like Nightcrawler's Bamf noise.

As referenced by Emma Frost while training in Generation X, Jubilee has the untapped potential to detonate matter at a sub-atomic level which in theory is the equivalent of a fusion bomb. Her moral stance on taking a life was observed by Emma during the Phalanx Covenant when Jubilee explained her fear of killing someone should her powers ever flare up again as they did during the Acts Of Vengeance storyline in Uncanny X-Men.

In her early appearances Jubilee also displayed an apparent immunity to telepathy, but this was soon forgotten. She has on occasion used this ability to hide herself from psychic scans and probes from sentinels. Whether or not she knows of this ability has yet to be determined, and seeing as she is currently powerless, it could possibly never be resolved.

Jubilee is a talented gymnast, and while living rough she used her skills to evade capture while stealing to survive, first from the various shops in the mall and later in the X-Men's Australian base. She has also displayed above average hand-to-hand combat skills, sufficient to survive combat with the Hand.

Comics are way better than the movies, Psylocke, Rogue(comicbook Rogue not the movie wimp), Storm, Longshot, Jubilee, Archangel, Iceman, and especially Gambit all need to be in the movies.

http://www.superherohype.com/forums/showthread.php?t=257532

Our source at Marvel Entertainment gave us the latest update on the ongoings of the X-MEN franchise, and what the future may hold for our favorite mutants:
Recently at the company’s web-site, we posted the latest on what was going on with all our movie projects during our last web-cast, which is available for downloading at Marvel.com. At one point during the conference, It was brought up that the future of both the X-Men and Spider-Man movie franchises will depend on how talks between Marvel, The Sony Company, and Fox will go next.
Since then some talks have taken place, and I must say that at the moment, It tends to favor Spider-Man more. Sony is so confident that Spider-Man 3 will be a hit that both the studio and Marvel are in active talks about doing more movies with the current cast and film crew. Talks between Marvel and Fox have not gone so smoothly.
I am not saying that it is hopeless, but there tends to be more disagreement on what to do next with The Children of the Atom. There is really no firm deal on the table as to what to do next. At the time of X3’s release, it was widely reported “well this is the last movie” despite the last scenes that were shown. Then the Box Office results kind of made Fox change their minds, at least all of a sudden they became more open to the idea of doing an X-Men 4.
But Marvel has an alternate plan for the future of these movies. One that Fox is reluctant to take seriously. However, they may have little choice in the matter because ultimately the X-Men are Marvel’s characters and with Marvel making even bigger steps to control and have more say in the production of their movies, the news on the future of the X-Men movies (which will be revealed in good time) I’m sure will come as a pleasent surprise to both the long time X-Men readers and those who have just recently got interested in them because of the movies.
