Not a good first set from Kim .... but the second set was a lot better.

But the most important things is that she's in the semi-finals.

Congrats Kim ! :D

I'm really happy :bounce:

given elena's season it's fitting she got bageled and double faulted on match point. now she should know that she has to work on her serve.

i was very impressed with her in the first set...except for her not being able to hold to go up 5-all. she did well to hold four games in a row.

rest up elena and please, for the love of god, fix the serve.

I guess it was fitting for lena to finish her YEC 06 with a DF since it was such a feature of her game this week but she played really well in the 1st set and Kim justserved too good and that was the difference 2nd set was always gonna be a blowout since lena pretty much knew it was over and the lineppl with their foot faults :o something not right about that but good luck in 07 lena :yeah:

Amazing how Clijsters can be so aggressive against her bitches, but against other players she becomes a defensive baseliner.

Maybe because the first serve of Lena on MP was IN. Kim knew it and she pointed to the big screen- as if she wanted to challenge
Did anyone notice???????

Btw. German commentator said:
...bla bla..Dementieva likes skiing, and so does Hantuchova. They both were together skiing...or st like that.
I absolutely didn`t have a clue they were friends. They never seem to like each other, to be close to each other........... Does anyone know more??

Oh my - haven't seen any matches so far. But I'm soooo proud of Kim. :worship: After her first match defeat against Maria she wasn't a favourite to come through - but she's made it. Now please beat Momo in the semis Kim.

Also despite what the rankings say - I truly believe that the 4 best players in the world have msde it to the semis. This might go down as the best YEC for a long time.

It's amazing to see Kim win over two top players in easy scorelines.

Elena committed 10 double faults, while kim did not give away a single one.
They two enjoyed almost equal number of winners, while Elena committed 28 unforced errors to Kim's 13.

Looking like Kim was more relaxed bcs she came to these championships with no real expectations, just to enjoy it as she said.:D

yes, the best performers throughout the year made it to the semifinals.

no question about that :D actually kim should be ranked 4 if not for the injury break she had which took off alot of points
