Mentally Weak Fake #1 def Mentally Tough Real #1 from a set and a break down. :spit:

Perhaps she should have tanked after all. :hehehe:

Now Amelie will play Masha most likely, and we will have an All-Belgian SF.

the 3rd set was :tape: for Juju ... maybe she just wanted to conserve energy for the SF?

Gotta love how it's all Justine's fault, nevermind the fact that Amelie has beaten Justine a "few times" before....

Well, I'm disappointed, but really, Martina should have done better than 1-2 if she wanted to advance. Putting your future in the hands of other players is dangerous.

It was a great year for Martina, anyway. Now she can get some much-needed rest and relaxation, and then prepare for Australia in January.

Well, not much JuJu can do about the 3 or 4 net cords for Momo in the last set...She definitely fought till the end IMO but Momo's game always bothers her at important tournaments...not sure why??

Yes it was Justine fault that Hingis won just one match

It's true.

She lost because she is NOT afraid to face Maria.
She didn't have all that much to gain in winning this match.

Hingis would be trashed by Masha in less than hour anyway.

It's true.

No, Amelie won 2 matches, she definitely deserves it over Martina this year...

Amelie did win 2 grand slams this year, more than any other player, for some reason. Regardless of what happens both Justine and Maria would love to swap their records for 2 grand slams.

Hingis deserves a SF as much as Elena does.

Martina siad that yesterday, she didn't want to leave her fate in someone else's hands, still #3 in group, 3 3-setters, good stuff....

PS...Amelie deserved to win today, she really played great when it mattered.

and both Maria and Amelie would love to swap their records with Justine

5 Grands Slams
Olympic Gold Medal
No. 1 for 45 weeks
First player to get to 7000 points
Fed Cup Winner
7th player ever to win RG and Eastbourne in the same year

Considering JuJu is 3 years younger than Amelie I don't think it's too bad! In time though, I think Masha will get there ... Amelie won't

Anymore?
