SINGLE-ELIMINATION IS SO MUCH EASIER!

OK here's the way I see it. Someone please correct me if I am wrong!

YELLOW GROUP

#1 Justine Henin-Hardenne
#2 Martina Hingis or Amelie Mauresmo (if Amelie wins tomorrow)

RED GROUP

#1 Maria Sharapova
#2 Kim Clijsters or Svetlana Kuznetsova (50/50 could go either way?)

OK AFTER THAT WHAT HAPPENS EXACTLY IN THE SEMIS

Does Justine play the #2 from the Yellow Group or does she play the #2 from the Red Group?

MANY THANKS PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

it wouldn't make much sense for her to play someone from her own group :ras: ;)

The #1 from the red plays the #2 from the yellow, the #1 from the yellow plays the #2 from the red

Correction: Maria isn't certain of qualification yet!!

If Kim beats Elena in straight sets
and Svetlana beats Maria (losing 4 games maximum)

--> Maria not in semifinals

I know - there is a slight chance of this and that happening but essentially it's going to be

#1 Justine

#2 Maria

#3 Kim or Svetlana

#4 Amelie or Martina

Yes, a slight chance. But can you imagine Kim losing to Dementieva and Maria to Sveta not winning more than 4 games? After what I saw in Kim-Sveta match no way... ;)

Well it is 95% improbable, Kimmie and Masha look awesome! But these are the best players in the world and anything could happen but from the BEGINNING of this week these are the semis I wanted to see:

Justine/Kim

Masha/Martina

So I am just megaexcited that there is still achance of this!!

Allez Justine!! ;)
