Sveta trains in Spain, and this is a huge tournament for her.
I think she'll come through tomorrow.

Clijsters puts a dent in Kuznetsova hopes of reaching the semis by beating her in straight sets.

If she is anywhere near her best I would say Kuzy on this fast surface, despite being partially owned by the mobile Clijsters in the past. Haven't seen Kim since her injury comeback - how is her form percentage wise, compared to her best? (60, 70, 80%)

kim, you have to win this in straights to be more secure in case of a tank job by sharapova in her final RR

I don't care who wins, as long as it's a three setter, I am happy:angel:

I heard Kimmy played well today, despite losing to Masha...
so who knows? While I usually favor offensive players against defensive ones on all non-clay surfaces I think Kimmy has a real good shot here...

Maria had 24 winners, 22 UE.

Kim 13 winners, 22 UE.

Maria played well, Kim played poorly...Maria would've probably won anyway had they been playing their best...Maria's serve was better.

I disagree, I think Kim is overall a better player. Kim is just not the same anymore.

Its hard for me to choose 1 of this 2. Both are my faves. But I love to see Sveta going through and take a step to the next level. So I will root for Sveta this time. (sorry my cutie Kimmie...)

Offensive wise....
Svetlana's FH > Kim
Net game Svetlana > Kim
Aggressiveness again Svetlana > Kim

Kim's retrieving > Svetlana
Kim's footspeed > Svetlana

Was watching a repeat of their Warsaw final (on clay) the other day. Good match but total domination by Clijsters in straight sets. Sveta seems to have mobility problems against the fleet-footed Belgians.

I like Kuznetsova in this one.

normally i would say clijsters, but given that she has only just come back from injury and has had little practive against other top players i'm gonna say kuznetsova in 3
