NOTES
- Vania King is the one and only player in this list having a title but Olga Poutchkova made 2 WTA finals.
- Agnieszka Radwanska moves 263 spots from last year.
- Elena Vesnina got the most notable record with 5 top 20 wins. Aravane Rezai almost challenges her with 3 top 20 wins but all of those come from defeating Groenefeld :help:
- as for Romina Oprandi, ugh i don't even know why she is ranked that high :tape:

Vesnina won't get it as she is already about 20 years old, and it usually goes to a teenager. Besides, she isn't really all that well known. She's had some impressive top 20 victories, but aside from WTA Worlders I don't think many people even know who she is.

I'm picking Aga Radwanska to get it. Biggest ranking jump, a top 10 scalp, a GS fourth round on debut, and some very impressive showings at high tier events.

Vania King is also a very strong contender. Top 50 ranking, and a WTA title :)

Aga.
* Biggest jump in the ranks
* Won over Top10 player as the only one of the listed players
* Good showings at GSs.

Aravane & Olga are close :yeah:

I think Anna Chakvetadze
not possible. Chakvetadze cracked into top 100 for 2 years. this award is likely to go to a non-top 100 player in the year before.

Should go to Aga but I bet they'll give it to Vania to drum up American interest in the WTA.

wow this is gonna bea tough one. They're all around the 50s too.

They're gonna give it to Poutchkova though -- she's made two finals (unlike Aga) and is the highest ranked.
